I would love to give this beach a 5 but not all dog owners pick up excretions. The Snowy Plover are often seen following the waves to grab a bite to eat. At low tide you can... read more

You can start at the Rock and beachcomb all the way to the neat little town of Cayucos. Explore the tide pools, look for sea glass, great photo opportunities.

Morro Strand is a hidden diamond. This area of the beach is not very crowded. You can walk for hours and hardly see anyone else. The sound of the waves is very relaxing. While walking on the beach you can admire the many homes there and wish you had a view like they do.

At low tide you can experience the unusual sea life from the protruding rocks and tide pools. Definitely worth a walk with the dogs but please clean up... More

Was a beautiful day with a blue sky... Leading to clouds and wind. The beach was relatively clean and unpopulated.

I love staying here because it is easy to park my little trailer and look at the ocean. The sound of the waves are very comforting. Once the bathrooms are updated with showers, I'll give this place a 5 star review.

We were in the area for Valentine's Day/Presidents Holiday weekend and stopped by Morro Strand State Beach. The sunset in particular was very nice this time.

Good beach for viewing dogs/surfer launch, etc. Not far north of most of North Morro Bay. Nice surfer viewing area & dog beach.

Even in January, this stretch of beautiful beach is positioned on the other side of the "rock" from the quaint sea port village and serene bay, welcoming surfers (no wetsuits!) in great numbers. The walk on the beach is quite extensive and, although we did not try it, we wondered if you could actually walk to Cambria from here. The... More
