Nice crew and staff at the office. Office has moved up one block from the waterfront on Market St. just off Beech St to the North. We all just had a bad day fishing on Wednesday Sept. 19, wind picked up and swells were quite big!! Overall, always nice to get out to do some fishing though!!

Wonderful crew that was truly helpful and fun. From the moment we arrived at the offices at check-in, to boarding, fishing, and departing the crew was fun, helpful, and worked their tails off for all the passengers. They were amazingly attentive; as anytime I needed assistance, they seemed to magically appear to help without me even asking once. The prices... More

This is coming from a guy who has been fishing all his life. All these complaints sounds like not true fisher men! U should no if you get sea sick just throw up over the rail. Not in the bath room. Also if you don't have a rod are gear you have to rent it are by it. It's the... More

My husband and me went out on a 3/4 with James and Sergio and had a blast. We met some great guys who helped both of us catch our limit. Not only was the deckhand Sergio so nice and helpful, everyone on the boat was. I was nervous about going on my first trip but all the guys made me... More

My son and I wanted to plan a fishing trip for fathers day weekend. We have taken trips out of avila beach before. They were ok.I thought it was more on the impersonal side, get on the boat fish, get off the boat. We were going to spend the weekend in morro bay so i reviewed virgs sportfishing in morro bay... More

The cost of Virg's fishing trip will include some hidden fees....like after you pay the initial fee you will then be charged for the pole rental, then you will have to buy your own hooks and sinkers. You then will be charged for every one of the sinkers you loose on the floor of the ocean.

It's an interesting place to go visit. Kids as well as Adults love watching the sea lions under the pier and the restaurants are pretty good.

Booked a rock cod, 8 to 2 pm trip, on the Princess. Great trip, good fishing, great crew and a delicious breakfast burrito. The skipper and deck hand James made our fishing trip a nice time. Have to mention Sean, he's also a deckhand but was fishing on his day off. He took care of me. Met many more nice... More

My friend flew in from out of state and I suggested Virg’s landing. The trip was expensive, including licenses, gear, and I had my own rod and reel, the total cost was over $250. Out of the 13 fishing passengers on the boat, only three fish were caught (12.5%) of the allowable catch limit. I mentioned to one of the... More

Other reviews were clearly written by Virg's employees, these people where so rude from beginning to end. On top of costing $100/person, they yell at anyone who may vomit, to not do it in the bathroom. Immediately after the boat took off, every person who worked for Virg's was smoking a cigarette. When workers were not giving orders to people... More
