its beautiful at night during a full moon, you could see the whole area when the moon is shining up in the sky and its quiet, but be careful to not be there too long because sheriffs pass by there doing patrol duties, but they are just concern for your safety and they are friendly too.

What's not to love about this place? No, seriously, the drive there is a bit long and unusual (the cabins remind me of a Steven King novel), but the whole park is accessible to dogs, the main hike nicely shaded the whole way, usually there are cascading rapids and lush foliage, and if you want a rougher hike, there are... I hesitate to speak about this park because I would like to keep it my secret but if you enjoy beautiful waterfalls, lush redwood forests, and hard and easy trails depending on your mood then...... look no further, this is your place!

Nice leisurely hikes. Dog friendly. Parking was less than $10 I believe (don't quote me). We went on a sunday morning and it was relatively empty. The drive there after leaving the main road was mostly one lane, so you might have to deal with cars coming from the opposite direction. Overall, not bad...a little far from the bay area... More

Uvas Canyon park is a nice park with manicured trails and small waterfalls. It's great for a short hike. You have to pay to park.
