Easy walking, great scenery, wonderful for people-watching , plenty of benches to sit and rest, generally a wonderful place to relax.

Road our loaner bikes along this trail. A great way to see the coast with a few beaches and coves along the way to stop and check sites. Also plenty of bike parking all along the trail.

We rented a surrey (family of 4 - 2 teen boys) and rode on part of this trail. The surreys are only allowed on part of the trail but it was fun for an hour. We walked and biked this trail on a busy day and note that it can get very crowded with people by Fisherman's Wharf and by... More

Would recommend going at least to see the dunes, they are huge. We drove from the Modesto area while on a visit there and were surprised with the difference from inland to coastal, very pretty!

Beautiful, very senic. Really shows what the California Coast has to offer. Alot of people jogging and riding bikes also.

Very populated, safe & scenic. We walked everyday - great place to people-watch, too. The trail connects the town with the Bay, locals use it too.

Had a great time cycling the trail this past holiday weekend. It was wonderful in the morning and became crazy busy by mid day. Try to get out early to enjoy before mass crowds arrive. Unfortunately it's freezing cold in the morning so bring gloves.

I love cycling and wow this is cool. Cycling through the city on the trail then roads and by the ocean. Absolutely loved it - and would definitely recommend it.

as soon as we arrived in Monterey we got about and found the trail. yes it goes through old wharf, cannery row shops and bars but you follow it around and then you get the on the coast and all the views, waves crashing and the seals along the way. it's windy so certainly take a tip and do "layers... Peaceful and beautiful. We walked it from where we parked our car to the aquarium due to the parking being free farther up. We checked out an adorable group of harbor seals and could have sat and watched them all day!
