Bayside walk or bike run that connects all the key locations on the water. We did the walk back to our hotel from Fisherman's Wharf in less than 30 minutes with the whole familly.

Monterey Peninsula Recreational Trail is a trail we enjoy due to its scenic beauty. The trail starts in Castroville, whichi is known for its artichokes, continues to Monterey through the historic Fisherman Wharf/Cannery Row, and ends in Pacifica at Lover's Point. The total length is 18 miles and is considered to be one of the most scenic walking trails in... More

Do you love the beauty of California? THis is the trail for you. Easy to access and navigate the only thing I didnt like was that we ran out of time to do more of it. See more of this amazing planet on the trail.

Can't get over how amazing this place is for wildlife. From the cliff you can see sea otters, harbour seals and cormorants.. Beautiful coastline. Lots of families riding surrey bikes going down the trail. Surreys only go as far as Lover's point on the west side though.. So no long journeys.. Kids loved biking and four year old enjoyed sitting... More

A clean pleasant walk with room for bikes too. We spent a long time observing the harbour seals resting on the rocks. Also saw a hummingbird visiting flowers.

I love this trail. The views are stunning and the fresh salt air is refreshing. The trails can vary from sand, asphalt and wooden planked. They are well taken care of and are very used. Would live here just to use these every morning! They do have benches spread throughout for those that need a rest break or just to... More

We rented bikes from Adventures by the Sea on Cannery Row, and although they diid not exactly overwhelm us with kindness and helpfulness it was not an unpleasant experience and we were on our way soon enough. We biked for 2 hours out and back through town and along the scenic route (North). Gorgeous views, stopped a few times and... More

We were here on a Monday and even then it was crowded. If you stay on the right side of the walkway there are few problems. We did see a lady who was standing with her bike and backed it into the path of a young girl on a bike without looking first. Luckily, the girl had some mad bike... More

Clean, well-maintained trail. Great for excercise or contemplation. Walked the trail daily at various times.

Wide lanes and beautiful views. We spent the morning biking. They are well planned and marked. Sweeping views of the bay as well as easy access to a variety of stops including cannery row, and the wharf. Plenty of joggers, bikes and people out for a stroll with plenty of room for everyone's enjoyment.
