I love this trail. It makes it easy to get from one beautiful point in Monterey to another. This past spring I walked from Fisherman's Wharf to Monterey Bay Aquarium. A year or so ago I walked all the way from my hotel to the aquarium ... about a 6 mile round-trip. So much to see along the way that... More

I love this trail as it goes straight through Pacific Grove, Monterey, Cannery Row, and all the way to Marina in the other direction.

Very romantic walk.....Lovers Point is a must see!!! Be careful how far you go. Before you know it you've gone so far on this beautiful trail, you'll need a cab back to the hotel.

Access from multiple points. Safest parking is at the wharfs or PG. Good for a half or nealry full day ride round trip. Where it ends in PG you can contimnue on into 17 mile drive's toll road for free ONLY on foot or bicycle.

My boyfriend now fiance took me there to propose. He told me this later in the trip. Unfortunately were unable to stay on the beach section of the trail because of all of the dead and rotting birds and seals that had washed up on the shore. I wound up crying (I am a huge animal lover) and had to... More

If you are fond of nature it is worth joining the trail. You will see a lot of species along the way. May be nothing special, but the view of the ocean always attracts everybody. Though if you get to the Lovers Point Park you will find it more beautiful. You can find some restaurants by the wharf which is... More

Easy to follow, gets you quickly away from the crowds and up close with the bay and the seals. Also helps to appreciate the history of the area.

We walked this trail every day from the Monterey Marriott to Cannery Row, and biked twice to Pebble Beach. It is so much fun, there is so much to see, little parks, beaches, pelicans, seals, gorgeous coastline. It's really the way to go, skip the car and enjoy the trail!

We chose to start our ride in Marina, parking at Fort Ord Dunes State Park. Parking is free but difficult to find. Follow the signs and have faith you are headed in the right direction even though all the abandoned barracks and broken concrete may lead you to believe otherwise. You will soon cross over highway 1 and be able... More
