This is an amazing trail right in the heart of Cannery Row and Fisherman's Wharf. It runs right along the beach where you can watch the sea lions play with the pelicans and otters! I LOVED this and wish I had a nice trail at home that was along the ocean! Just take a stroll and see the sights!

One of the best things about the recreational trail is the fact that you can access it from so many locations. We started our trip by parking at the REI in Marina and then took a little side trip through Fort Ord to the trail. However you can just as easily park in the Sand City Costco shopping center lot... It's great to be able to walk, bike, etc right along the coast without worrying about cars. Fantastic views and easy beach access.

Extrordinario, fun, cheap, funny ... a wonder ride. With friends was the best ride I did after Disney.

We stopped on the trail in the early morning hours before we left for Big Sur. The weather was a bit foggy but it made for some interesting photos. Glad we stopped. It's a very nice area for an exercise walk or bike ride.

Stunningly beautiful scenery and relatively easy walk. The only feature I dislike is that bikers are aggressive and rude. Since the biking paths and walking paths are side-by-side, it is easy for a walker to meander onto the paved (and therefore more comfortable) bike path.

Every trip to Monterey, we either walk or bike or jog, or rollerblade on this trail. It is something we traditionally must do every visit. Love the exercise, the fresh air and the ocean views.

How could anyone not love this trail...i, however, did go on a weekday in October so it was fairly quiet. The views are outstanding...seals, kayakers, a photographers dream walk. It is flat and any senior citizen could enjoy thus amble.

The view of the ocean front walk is outstanding. Make sure you watch out for bikes that share the same path.
