Lucky to have this trail

It is so beautiful to walk about by the water. The trail is peaceful scenery around. Monterey is a super place to visit and live. I feel very fortunate to live here.

This a great trail miles and miles long. Most of it is along the coast and you will see a lot of different birds, seals, otters and at a distance whales jumping in and out - with their distinctive "thar she blows" spray into the air. The trail is well marked for bicycles and those walking. Family bikes can also... More

This is a great way to get around. Very easy to hike along trail and it follows the coast and goes right through Cannery Row. Little busy with bikes at time, but that is the reason for such a trail.

Hired bikes for 2 hours and biked from Aquarium to Spanish Bay on 17 mile drive. Fab views. Saw whales in the distance. Well laid out cycle paths. Very safe. Would recommend.

I was fortunate to spend some time in the Monterey Peninsula and this is one of its gems. Biking: go north and one can end up in Castroville by cutting through Marina on Del Monte Blvd and be in farmland. Or ride south through Pacific Grove, past Asilomar Beach, then hang a right on to 17 Mile Drive. Bicyclists have... More

Walking this trail is just as much fun as biking it or skating it, but people do all three. It is so beautiful beside the Pacific with crashing waves, majestic rocks and lovely trees and plants. Sometimes the quirky charming houses on the land side catch your eye for awhile, but the Pacific draws the eye back every time.

If inspiration, views of the colorful wharf, and bay full of friendly wildlife is what you seek this is where you come. You can walk, bike, roller blade/skate, or rent a silly vehicle where your whole family can pedal on the trail..

Very nice paved trail along Monterey Beach. I would love to go running or biking here. My husband and I walked along here while visiting Monterey. We were there in the morning so a lot of traffic. I wouldn't recommend just for a leisurely stroll - we ended up just walking on the beach.
