The day was quite cold and the morning fog took a long time to lift. We went on the 1.30pm trip and there had been whales seen in the morning. There were 5 crew to 14 passengers on the boat and they were all looking for signs of the whales. After a while they did find a pod and they... More

We picked Princess because we saw double deck boat - paid our $45 each and then was told top deck was $20 extra - this was very poor and irritating. Good experience otherwise. Lucky day cause saw lots of whales and dolphins. Naturalist and crew excellent. Boat nice on lower deck,.,. I am sure there are times one sees nothing,... More

We saw dozens of humpbacks on our excursion, as well as as a large pod of dolphins. The captain was great, turning the boat so everyone could get a glimpse of the activity and even following in the direction the whales were traveling so we could take photos. We went on a Friday and the boat was less than half... More

The boat was bigger than the other two companies and had plenty of room. The guide was very informative. We saw humped back whales, porpoise, sea lions and many types of water foul. They followed the whales for 30 min. The sea lions put on a great show.

We were lucky enough to see at least a dozen or more whales, very close to the boat. No flips or big motion, but very beautiful. the boat was clean and the staff reasonably helpful. We were lucky enough to have a naturalist give further information.

This was our first ever whale watching venture and we were not disappointed. Aboard the Princess Monterey the voyage out to further reaches of the Abby area were a pleasure and then we saw the first glimpses of the famed vertical water spray from a humpback whale as it blows out AWESOME and the first sighting of "whale tales" never... I just visited Monterey. Nice excursion. Good views of the bay. Spotted some humpbacks and grays. I guess not the best time of year to do so. Dress warm it gets cold out there. I'd do it again.

We have been visiting Monterey for many years and we had never even thought about taking a whale watching boat out into the bay. I wish we had done it years ago. We payed $20 extra each to sit on the top deck. I highly recommend this. We had much better views and could easily move between the right and... More

This tour starts with a briefing that even keeps the kids involved, then it's on the boat, and out into the Bay. Large groups of seals sighted right off the bat, along with a couple of Sea Otters. It wasn't long before we saw whale blows in the distance. Our captain angled wisely and brought us within sight of a... More

Big, 100 foot boat with upper deck. This was great for making the ride as calm as possible - much better than in smaller boats. The boat was clean and the crew was energetic and courteous. The tour itself delivered what they said - dolphins and whales - great stuff. One other thing - customer service. We had booked a... More
