Yes we did see some humpback whales and some dolphins and overall it was a very enjoyable boat trip. There is the excitement of not knowing what you might see at any moment. However just bear in mind that nature is of course unpredictable, so you may only get a few fleeting sightings of the whale's back and possibly the... More

Ones that are rated Arrrr ! I would be a liar if I claimed that there was no pirate-speak between my wife and I on this trip, But when it comes to the boat and whale watching, this outfit is no joke. They take what they do serious ( with a little fun mixed in )and are all business. My... More

I chose this company as the previous reviews read well and suggest an abundance of whale activity to be seen. I totally appreciate that you can't guarantee a viewing but on 21st July we were lucky to encounter just the 1 whale and that one was particularly camera shy and so no big leaps from the water or tale fin... The boat ride up north along the coast was pretty choppy despite good weather. We did see the humpback whales, albeit not really up close. Very hard to take a photo with all the rocking and rolling of the vessel.

We visited the Monterey bay in July, which meant prime humpback season! The boat was great, with a heated cabin and everything, and plenty of space for everyone to watch, and I am talking about the lower deck. Two people did get seasick, but hey, it's a boat ride, that's hardly the company's fault. Our tourguide knew a lot about... More

We went on a 9 am tour and paid 45 dollars each one. The tour was about 3 hours and we did get to see whales, the problem was we only saw their tails and they were so far away. The crew and the guide were really nice, it is a nice company to go with if you decide you... More

Asked for a coupon price and got a discount on our tickets! This was a nice boat, friendly and knowledgeable staff and a fun time. They made sure we saw lots of whales! Very fun trip!

Booking this the night/day before is very important: they sell out fast. We went out on the three hour 9am tour. The staff was very good and the "tour guide" gave great information. We only saw Humpback Whales but that was better than nothing.

Reading reviews of this tour that were a mixed bag, I had some trepidation about this tour, but we decided to use the company mainly because of time constraints. This turned out to be a good choice! The crew, while not exuberant, were polite and not rude, and the guide was friendly and informative. The boat was not empty, but... More

We pre bought tickets on the phone $45 each, maybe cheaper on the dock. The boat and staff was very nice, large enough not to get sea sick, but it is very windy, wear a hood. Its about an hour ride out to where the whales are, stay about 45 min. , then go back. we did see a few... More
