I took their advice and headed out on a morning trip, nice and calm, and, from the word go, just brilliant. The marine expert on board stands on the flying bridge and via a public address system commentates on what is to be seen and cues you in to all the action. Excellent historical content as we glide out of... More

I wanted to try a new experience, and whale watching seemed to fit the bill. First off, its a HUGE ripoff. More than $40 bucks a person. And then, they nickel and dime you into thinking you'll get a better view if you pay $20 extra dollars to sit up on top. And you don't actually "see" whales; you see... More

This was my fourth time out and I have never been disappointed. (Not even the one rough day four years back when we didn't see anything but a bird bobbing around.) This time we saw Humpbacks, dolphins, albatross and a first for me, a pod of five orcas. The company is excellent, the guide is informative and I can't wait... More

We took a tour with Princess last Sunday (May 17). We absolutely loved the tour. The guide was funny, informative and engaging. The boat was comfortable and the best part is we got to see a few majestic humpback whales. The tour lasted 2.5 hours and they took us in the middle of the ocean. We did not see any... More

A wonderful experience, this was a must-do on our trip through California. It didn't disappoint. We paid around $60 to sit on the upperdeck, along with the majority of guests on the boat. If you get sea-sick, then take some medication before you get on board. We booked the morning tour which lasted 3 hours, and had close-ups of the... More

I know sightings are pure luck, but I'm sure the company can get at least some of the credit...(?!). This whale watching company was fantastic - very reasonably priced, the guide was full of beans and really friendly/professional/knowledgeable, the boat was top of the line, and we sailed beside a pod of 200+ common-nosed dolphins, and had lots of humpback... Went out whale watching one sunny Friday morning. Unfortunately there was a bit of a mist on the sea, so we headed towards the Santa Cruz bay area. Say plenty of sea lions, some sea otters, plenty of dolphins and some whales (from afar). This was a very well run trip and a must if staying in Monterey.

i went for a trip last weekend with them and it was amazing. there were lots of whales that day. one even rolled and jumped in the water. it was fantastic to see. and then there were hundreds of dolphins and sea lions close to the boat. i was happy being in the upper deck even with the extra $20.... This was a brilliant trip, very professionally operated and a friendly and very informative crew. They placed us in amongst the Whales and other marine wildlife after a short trip off shore and maintained contact with the Whales throughout the trip. This was a truly memorable experience and provided us with some fantastic photographic opportunities.
