We 4, including 2 teens did tour with Mason and Rachel and had a great time. Was first time so was worried about stamina, but did ok. Saw pelicans, otters, seals, sea lions, jelly fish. I loved it.

We took the 2 hour Monterey bay tour with Joel, which was excellent! We decided to take the 9am tour as we heard that the winds tend to get up later in the day. We only wore our togs and didn't bother with any footwear, they provide wind jackets and wetsuits which was enough to keep up warm. I took... More

To clarify, it was genuinely a lot of fun. I was visiting a friend in Monterey for a week who then took me to MBK for my first ever ocean kayaking experience. The staff was kind, the location was awesome, the kelp forest along with otters and jellies made it even better but once again the price was rather hefty... More

Don't kayak a lot, so the prespect of a two hour kayaking trip was a little daunting. However, the guide was extremely helpful and very knowledgable about the process, the area, and the wild/sea life. It was a lot of fun.

We took the 11am tour with Brittany and Mason two very knowledgable guides who guided us through the harbour and round the marina. Frequent stops were made to view the wildlife and the highlight was watching a sea otter try to get on board a fellow paddlers kayak!

We took the 11am 2 hour family tour into Elkhorn Slough...we were there celebrating a birthday! Everyone, from the cashier to the guide, was friendly and helpful! Having the wet suits included was a real bonus too. Some in our group had never kayaked before and the guide was very patient. He was very knowledgeable with the Elkhorn Slough habitat... More

After a brief training/safety session we enjoyed a great kayak trip on the Monterey Bay. I liked that we stopped several times to enjoy the wildlife. Care was always taken to assure we didn't get too close. The pace was easy and 2 hours was a perfect amount of time.

We kayaked around the Bay on the 2 hour tour and really enjoyed it. Will was a great guide and it was just our family on the tour. We saw seals, otters, and sea stars. My 8 year old daughter loved all of the sea life. I highly recommend this activity!

A beautiful day for kayaking. A little wind and lots of wildlife in their natural habitat. We watched as the American White Pelicans dove for fish right next to our kayak, saw sea otters playing just feet from us, seals and sea lions basking in the sun and a beautiful jellyfish floating by on the current. A lovely adventure and... More

Set your GPS for the Elkhorn Slough and find an adventure for even the beginner kayaker. The guys and gals at Monterey Bay Kayaks, located on the north side of the slough bridge are easy going and knowledgeable. The outfitting office has an extensive supply of last minute accessories if you didn't plan ahead on keeping cameras, iPhones, etc. dry... More
