We rented a double kayak at Elkhorn Slough on a weekday morning. You pay a set fee and can stay out as long as you like; we just want to go out for a couple of hours to avoid an impending storm. The staff was very friendly and helpful. After a short refresher on paddling techniques and directions on where... More

My 12 year old son and I loved our kayak adventure into the bay. We saw all kinds of animals and birds. We especially enjoyed learning about the otters, sea lions, and seals. My son was apprehensive about kayaking in the ocean, but the staff was helpful in making him feel comfortable. He wanted to go again the next day... More

We have always wanted to Kayak in Monterey Bay-the weather was beautiful, the guide was great. Will do it again when we are in the area.

We went out with Mason as our guide with 2 other couples. What a great experience. We'd never been ocean kayaking and weren't sure how difficult it would be. It was amazing! We saw (and smelled) the sea lions on the jetty up close, saw harbor seals, jellyfish, sea stars and my favorite, SEA OTTERS. Could anything be cuter? Mason... More

Kayaks available for $30 for the full day use. Bright and breezy and very enjoyable day at sea. Just down from the Monterey Plaza hotel.

We incorporate kayaking trips whenever we take a vacation. This was one of the best. The weather was warm, the water was calm and clear, and the animal life abundant. Our guide Anna provided us with a wealth of information, and even took an "action shot" of us. Go explore the Elkhorn Slough. Erica and Rich NYC

I highly recommend Monterey Bay Kayaks! Our guide John was very knowledgeable in marine biology! I look forward to trying kayaking during the summer months.

Our kayaking tour with Mason was a highlight of our visit to the Monterey area. My husband, teenage son and nephew and I were in a small group with one other family. Not long after we launched, we saw a raft of otters. A playful seal pup swam among our kayaks and Mason pointed out all the many bird species... More

We truly enjoyed our kayaking tour with Monterey Bay Kayaks. MBK outfitted us with everything my husband, two children, and I needed. The only things we had to bring were bathing suits, water shoes, hats, and sunglasses. Rachel was a great tour guide, highlighting the local sea life and educating us about the endangered southern sea otters. It was our... More

This kayaking experience was a bucket list endeavor for a family member. Having kayaked before, I know that depending on the weather, wind and just paddling correctly that kayaking is not a guaranteed wonderful experience. Based on tripadvisor reviews, I went with Monterey Bay Kayaks. Mr. Bucket List had a phenomenal time! The only challenge part was getting into that... More
