If you are traveling the coast and you are going to LA or San Franciso, save your museum hours for the Getty in LA or the Place of the Legion of Honor. This is a nice local museum, but if you have limited time, use it to enjoy the wonders of Montery Bay. More

I'd never even heard of this museum, located at 2 buildings, about a mile apart, in downtown. Saw an ad for the Edward Weston exhibit in the AAA magazine and made a side trip there during our trip. It's wonderful. Friendly people at both sites, and really nicely exhibited art in a pleasant setting. $10 admission is good for both... More
