It was a little dated, but very quaint. Little kids seemed to appreciate the place. More

Museum exhibits are limited, but adequate for such a small town. Admission was free that day so it was an okay experience. More

This is a tiny art museum. That being said, it is well worth to time to explore. The interior design of the museum has a very pleasing aesthetic. The museum features artwork depicting the California Central Coast. The beauty of this part of the country has been an inspiration for many artists. There are pieces from notable American artists such... More

But I love this place, a neat venue for modern art, and the house and grounds are lovely. I chose to make this a special place for me because it is wonderful. More

If you are traveling the coast and you are going to LA or San Franciso, save your museum hours for the Getty in LA or the Place of the Legion of Honor. This is a nice local museum, but if you have limited time, use it to enjoy the wonders of Montery Bay. More

Visited the museum on free museum day. I've been to museums around the world, so compared to those, I wasn't too impressed. They did have a wide variety of California artists or art of California. Most of the pieces were painting, though they did have sculptures and a few photographs (Ansel Adams). I only visited the downtown location. I would... More

I'd never even heard of this museum, located at 2 buildings, about a mile apart, in downtown. Saw an ad for the Edward Weston exhibit in the AAA magazine and made a side trip there during our trip. It's wonderful. Friendly people at both sites, and really nicely exhibited art in a pleasant setting. $10 admission is good for both... More
