what is a church doing in such historic state theater ? This place is way under utilized and needs public events other than religious. How about the Monterey Jazz Festival running this place ? More

I am so glad that this theater has been restored to the original glory of the movie theater that I grew up with - where there was the balcony with the loge seats which cost more, with the walls that were designed to look like a Moorish castle. It now hosts the occasional retrospective movie, jazz concert, or other live... More

Check out their venue when you travel here. We've seen many top performers here. The balcony is very steep. Beautiful interior. More
