The title says it all. There are lots of sandy beaches and beautiful views where you can see the widllife. We saw seals, pelicans, cormorants, sealions, sea otters and so many other animals all in their natural environments. Well thought out as there are plenty of stopping places and strategic points with toilets and picnic benched. A fabulous way to... More

We were travelling south to north. We didn't realise the Big Sur had actually started until we were most of the way through it. The signs for Big Sur seem to relate to the facilities at the north end. Make sure you refuel early as the last gas station going up is very expensive. Amazing views at all the view... More

This drive will be one of the most memorable of your lifetime. Words can not covey the beauty unless you have seen it with you own eyes.

We spent nearly all day on the 17 mile drive. There is a lot to see and do. We stopped many times and either sat on the beach for a while or walked through the forest or had lunch. Pebble Beach is a must stop. Also we drove around clockwise whereas most people seemed to opt for the anti clockwise... More

Why pay $10 toll to see this, when you can take it ALL in from a bicycle? The views are stunning: crashing Pacific waves one side and Pebble Beach beauty on the other side. This ride will forever live on your bucket list, of cycling dreams.

This is a must see attraction if you are visiting the area. The views truly are magnificent and there is lots to do within the Pebble Beach area. You pay $10/car and are provided with a map of the route and points of interest (don't worry-both the driving route and the points are marked as you go). We only visited... More

This is a great oportunity to get a view of great coast lines and cliffs in a short ride. The nice part of the drive is only the street along the beach. The inland part of the drive is not worth. There are places along the road to stop and enjoy the view and take great pictures.

If you go travel on the 17-mile drive, go for the Pebble Beach golf course and to take a nice photo of the lone Cypress. I’m not a big golfer but appreciated the golf antique store at the Pebble Beach shops. A lot of memorabilia and also some antique clubs and golf balls for sale. Almost like a small museum.... More

It was a long day as the tour lasted 11 hours and we visited Montreal and Carmel with tower tours. It was a brilliant day and our host Patrick was brilliant and kept us entertained all day. Would deffinetly recommend tower tours.

Look forward once a year or more, driving on the 17 mile drive from Monterey Bay into Carmel and back again. Spectacular vista points of amazing rock formations, tall canopied trees, ocean views, elegant home architecture, green golf courses and of course Pebble Beach itself. It is a treat always to stop and stroll the Pebble Beach Shops, have a... More
