We have just been on the 17 MILE DR this morning and it was very disappointing, that's a shame to ask almost 10$ for something without great interest, it's just nice... and you have the feeling to pay for watching rich people's houses. Landscapes on the Highway 1 are much better and free. Don't waste your time and your money.... more

Stayed in Monterey and this was one of the highlights. The drive was beautiful. Took our 12 & 14 yr. old girls. We got out a few times to see different things along the way. Pebble Beach is neat to stop at and look around at the club house and shops etc. more

You drive 6 1/2 miles into it before you even begin to see coastline. It's been overbuilt by houses - very nice houses but that's not what I was looking for. How disappointing.
