I don't blame my trip on the company, rather the weather conditions. My boyfriend and I went on the 10AM trip on January 17th and unfortunately the ocean was pretty rough. We were still able to see a few whales, but it was difficult to see them amongst the waves and there were quite a few people who ended up... More

Well, I know there is no guarantee you'll see all the sea creatures that lurk beneath the waves but we were very fortunate. First we saw a school of around 100+ Dolphins in the distance and the Captain motored up to them and we were literally surrounded by them - superb sight! Then after a little while we saw a... More

This trip does exactly what it says on the sign . It was in Monterey bay and we saw whales , lots of them . Killers (orcas) humpback , grey plus otters sea lions long nosed Dolphins and many sea birds . All crammed into 2 hours . All the crew were very knowledgable and friendly . Would I return... More

This was my second trip with this outfit. They are friendly, helpful and informative. Safety of their passengers is a priority, but so is a great trip! I look forward to another trip with Monterey Bay Whale Watch, perhaps at another time of year.

The boat takes off from the end of Fisherman's Wharf, which is a super cute area on its own. The boat is big, not grand, but clean with a good assortment of snacks and drinks to purchase (for cash). The guide was wonderful and his helpers were super helpful as well. Lots of room to move around and be as... More

I went on a whale watching tour in summer of 2014 and it was one of my favourite things I did on the west coast. I had high hopes after not having seen a whale when I did a whale watching tour in BC. My husband and I signed up for the four hour tour and saw so many whales,... More

We went on January 16, 2016. It was the highlight of the trip for me. It was an easy drive from San Francisco. The staff were all super and very knowledgeable. We saw a pod of 100+ dolphins and about 4-5 Orca - including a baby. There was also a Humpback on our trip, but I missed him. The trip... More

We were very lucky and saw so much! The staff were excellent. My only criticism is that the sound system on the boat was very poor and we lost a lot of what they said expecially if the motor was revving at the same time.

We took the early morning tour (10 am) and saw an abundance of wildlife: sea lions, otters, a pod of approximately 800 - 1000 dophins, a group of 6 killer whales and gray whales. The staff was professional, friendly and prepared. The water was very rough, so there was a lot of seasickness. But that was all handled very well... More

This was an amazing tour! Even if we hadn't seen whales, I would have thoroughly enjoyed it. The views of the bay and ocean were gorgeous, and the boat ride itself was a wonderful experience. The staff really knew their stuff and constantly shared a wealth of knowledge with us. They are very passionate about marine life and love what... More
