This trip is simply amazing. The crew are very professional and knowledgeable. They know where the whales will be, they have lots of information regarding the wildlife and the area. We were absolutely in awe of the wildlife we saw in abundance. Whales, sea lions, otters, pelicans, cormorants and much more. But of course we were there to see whales,... More

Flat sea morning, foggy day. Had some worries about our wildlife viewing. Sea otters in the harbor were a good omen. 30 minutes into the cruise we were surrounded by hundreds of dolphin and for the next four and a half hours we were entertained by seemingly every animal in the bay. Birds, sea lions, Mora Mora, and about 30 close... More

We were on the October 4th morning trip. Middle of a fabulous October heat wave with 80+ degree weather. Great naturalists getting us to the wildlife and explaining some things. Would definitely whale watch with them again.

This was the third time my wife and I went on the Monterey Bay Whale Watch tour. Every time we go we keep wondering if this trip will out do the last one and it always does. We were on the morning 3 hour tour. Except for a little early morning fog the weather was excellent for whale watching. It... More

We are really keen birdwatchers as well as liking whales and dolphins so the longest (4 hour plus) trip was what we chose. We hoped for a variety of whales but before we travelled we had heard that Blue Whales were not in the area. Never the less we had great whale sightings 48 Humpbacks, 110 Risso Dolphins and some... We chose to go on a 3 hour whale watching trip on one of the smaller boats...to avoid the crowds...it was a lovely saturday morning, calm seas..unfortunately the whales chose to be a hours boat ride away..so the actual whale watching time was quite short..and no dolphins..the actual sightings were great..i did however expect more...as far as value for money... Went out on a sunny summer morning hoping to see humpback whales and was not disappointed, first sighting brought tears to my eyes, they are so magnificent to see and enjoyed our trip so much we booked to go again two days later. BRILLIANT

Booking, modifying the booking was great experience....where it failed was that they had sold more tickets than there were seats outside for everyone to sit and when I mentioned that, the young man with no manners said you don't like it go get your money back. I had planned this trip over a month ago and had visitors from Europe... More

Monterey Bay truly is an incredible ecosystem with so much diversity, which is exactly what we encountered on our whale watching tour back in July. We took the July 11, 2014 morning trip (started at 9:00 AM and lasted about 4 hours). We saw a TON of wildlife, including a pod of Dall's Porpoises and about 30 humpback whales. I... More

I have traveled with MBWW several times and always had an awesome experience. The Captain and the crew knew where to go. The naturalist gave good information for all levels. The boat was comfortable. I will go again and again and again. It is one of the best ways to experience these magical mammals.
