Went on the Monterey Bay Whale Watch during a trip down the Pacific Highway in October. Picked this boat because of the sales pitch. In the event that was a bad decision. The boat is small and the driver kept the few whales we saw on the right side of the boat. Not enough space on that side so those... More

What a trip! We took the morning watch, over 4 hours. The crew was great and the naturalist was very knowledge. We saw over 25 whales and I couldn't count the dolphins. There was room for all to see and get great photos. One of the best experiences we've had. Thanks for a great trip!

Incredible. We saw rissos dolphins and grey whales which were all around us at one point. If you like wildlife then go on this trip. The staff were helpful and informative.

Great experience! The whole thing took us about 4 hours so you should remember to book some time to complete the tour. It's a remarkable chance to see whales in their natural environment but you can also take a look at dolphins and sea lions jumping and swimming like crazy ;) Very competent and friendly crew on board made this... Bottom line, I went to see wildlife, and hopefully whales. For the price we got a very friendly and competent staff, (Tyler was very solicitous for my mother) nice and informative biologist, interactive and charming captain. Most importantly, we got WHALES. Spouting, 'lap finning', tail slapping, two separate groups, and a mother and her calf who passed very close to... More

We decided to do the 09:00 trip after spending a few days in Monterey/Carmel and before heading up to SFO for our evening flight back to the UK. We were slightly concerned that we were cutting it too fine, as we were told that the boat would stay out for as long as it needed to in order to see... More

Great crew, very knowledgeable . Boat is very small (not a cruise boat) but it makes them agile in finding the wildlife. Didn't see as many humpbacks as most noted here, but saw a small group of 4 in strange behavior (rolling rather than breaching), an orca and several pods of dolphins. A terrific experience!

Seeing whale, dolphin and sea lions in their natural environment is the most amazing thing. We got up close and personal with a variety of animals without antagonizing or chasing them and it was fantastic. Staff were helpful and friendly and shared many interesting facts with us during the trip. 3 hours was perfect and the view of the bay... More
