My husband and I took a whale watching tour in hopes of seeing a whale. Boy were we treated to a surprise. We saw grey whales, a humpback whale, pacific dolphins, porpoises, sea otters and sea lions!

We did the whale watching boat tour. It was an experience to never forget. You travel far into the ocean, but once we got out there, we didn't get close like we expected. From a far distance we could see the whale go up and down in the water. You could see the mist from their blow holes, We saw... More

It was a rocky ride through the rain and large swells. A lot of people were getting sick; luckily, I had taken a Dramamine half an hour beforehand. The boat was small and very crowded with no upper deck for passengers. We did see a lot of dolphins, so that was cool. When we finally came upon some whales, we... More

Weather wise, it wasn't great. Slight drizzle with a bit cold. Considering that my daughter has had some history with sea sickness, I wasn't really sure whether it was a good idea to go out. To my daughter's credit she took a couple of tablets and braved it. Started out slow, with sea lions and otters. However once we were... More

This was one of my to do things on my bucket list. We booked the trip on their website before we left UK, a good thing to do as a popular attraction. I had built the trip up in my mind that we would see loads of different whales. We were out on the sea for about 3-4 hours on... More

We got lucky to see the California grey sham whale, and hundreds and hundreds of dolphins leaping all around us! It was magical! We took the 1.30 pm ride but no one can predict when they show up. winter time is the best chance though as they migrate down south. The crew was very knowledgeable and explained everything!

On our one day in Monterey, the guys played golf so my friend and I went whale watching. I booked online with this company because of the Trip Advisor ratings. The staff was very friendly. Even though we went in January and only expected to see gray whales and dolphins, we also saw at least 7 humpbacks as well. We... More

We had the most beautiful weather and seas last week and still cannot believe how lucky we were to see a huge pod of long nose common dolphins plus quite a few whales in the distance. The staff were very knowledgeable and very easy to understand. They made it a point to talk to their customers and we learned a... More

While we did see whale tails (probably 12-15) we were unable to get very close because of all of the other tours out and about. To the defense of Monterey Bay Whale Watch, some other boat cut between us and the pod and the whales vered away from us. The boat was to full for our taste, you could not... More
