My family and I lived in Monterey 20 years ago and our oldest son spent a lot of time playing at this park when he was a little boy. I was happy to see the park is still beautifully maintained and it a great place to bring little ones to burn off some energy.

This is the best park around and one of the best ever. My son loves this place. It has a fun bouncy bridge, bumpy slide, rock climbing wall, swings, and lots more. There are picnic tables if you want to bring a lunch and hang out for a while. Really a fun place to spend a lazy afternoon with the... More

This is a great park for the kids! Lots of play structures including a grand old steam train engine. A classic fun spot for the family. Baseball park, boats for rent on Lake El Estero, grill for snacks. Good fun.

Took the kids here to blow off some steam after all the road tripping, and they were very pleased. Fabulous park, lots of fun. Mom and Dad even got to enjoy some climbing and slides. Get there early on weekends and holidays so you can get a parking spot, otherwise you'll spend a lot of time circling.

As soon as our girls arrived (ages 2 & 4), they just took off playing, running, climbing, sliding...non-stop for several hours. Lots of structures, and very well maintained. After a trip to the wharf and the beach, we brought our two tired girls back in case they wanted to play some more, and the switch went on again. This place... More

The park is big enough even for crowds. There are many equipment for both small and big children. Biggest advantage is it's free. Kids love this place and can stay many hours easily.

I've had the pleasure of introducing my children and grandchildren to the joys of Dennis the Menace Park. A wonderful place to let the imagination (and the child) run wild.

My kids would have stayed there forever. There are a variety of slides and things to climb on. There seems to be a shortage of swings though.

This park is free and so much fun. The play equipment ranges for small children to older. It is set next to a pond and has a lot of play equipment that most parks dont have. It even has a rock climbing wall and suspension bridges. The bathrooms are not the best but still its worth it. When we go... More

Not something I would make a trip to go to. The equipment is a little old and run down. It's not in the best of neighborhood. It's fine but not better than most playgrouns. It is sandy but is difficult after the rain.
