Nice place to visit, but if you want to eat in one of the restaurants, take note that most close about 9pm More

The Wharf is a typical tourist trap, filled with restaurants that push their clam chowder. Here is the problem; even if the sample that is offered to you tastes great, there is no guarantee that it will be the same chowder that you receive in a bread bowl. We were disappointed twice by this switch of hand, so buyer beware! More

We enjoyed taking a stroll down Old Fisherman's Wharf. Feels "salty" but also a bit touristy. Worth it to take the stroll and take it all in. More

Yes, it is for tourists, but it had more than I expected. Shops and quite a few restaurants and food places with a nice selection. Right next to the old custom house and other places of historical interest from old Monterey. More

I guess while you're there you have to see it but it's nothing special. Lots of restaurants trying to lure you in to eat there offering you samples of clam chowders and free appetizers (usually a calamari dish). Gift shops are almost all the same and of low quality merchandise. BUT definitely go and see for yourself. Pretty crowded and... More

We loooove Fisherman's Wharf!! There are a lot of good restaurants and shops there, although we highly recommend Abalonetti's for lunch or dinner. We always go there every time we are in the Monterey area. It's a bit pricey, but food is very good!! More

If you are looking for a seafood restaurant with a nice view, Old Fisherman's Wharf is the place you should go to. But that's about all there is to do there. I felt the restaurants were a bit pushy. They all give you samples of clam chowder as you walk by, trying to get you to eat there, and that's... More

This is another tourist trap with your typical souvenir shops, restaurants and the like. Nothing special. Try Cannery Row instead. More
