The Wharf is a typical tourist trap, filled with restaurants that push their clam chowder. Here is the problem; even if the sample that is offered to you tastes great, there is no guarantee that it will be the same chowder that you receive in a bread bowl. We loooove Fisherman's Wharf!! There are a lot of good restaurants and shops there, although we highly recommend Abalonetti's for lunch or dinner. We always go there every time we are in the Monterey area. It's a bit pricey, but food is very good!! More
