Came upon the theater by accident and decided to see the 1 o'clock show in 3D. Only 6 people in the theater. The 2 employees were nice and eager to please. It's in the middle of all the Cannery Row busyness. Theater was very clean. The movie screen was good and the seats comfortable, but there was a smell that... More

We had a party of 6, paid about $70 for all and watched Oz in 3D. Liked the movie, liked the service.

It's a smaller IMAX, right in Cannery Row, close to everything. Many of the movies they present are about the ocean, environment & nature.

Went here to see the Avengers on its opening weekend. It's pretty small since there's only one theater, but the screen was large and the sound was great. The $15 I spent on the ticket was definitely worth it! If you order your tickets online, it really doesn't save any time to print them out. I printed out my ticket,... More

Great to view IMAX designed movies. Clean and kept up. Sometimes with off-peak deals.

This closed about six months ago. Didn't do too well while it was opened. We saw a U2 concert in 3D there and really liked it.

This might have been a tourist version of IMAX. The screen was small, the lighting was effected as a result.

I recently saw Ironman 2 at this theater. It was not anything like a real IMAX experience. 1- Screen size: About the size of a larger regular theater (which is very small for IMAX) tiered seating may have been rare 10 years ago, but now almost every theater has it. 2- Picture resolution: No better than a regular theater. 3-... I have been to the IMAX in Downtown San Jose, and I loved it. So when friends wanted to see Avatar at the IMAX in Monterey, I was excited. However, when we got there we walked into an "average" size theatre. And, when the movie started, it wasn't even fitted to the screen!! So we paid $15 to see a... More
