No ghosts (but who really expects them on a tour like this) and as a ghost hunter myself, I'm not really into orbs. But, don't let that deter you from this great history tour told from a paranormal perspective. I ended up buying the book that's sold because the tour was so much fun and the history so interesting. Even... More

I took my teens boys and their friend. It was a lot of fun and awesome tales. We went back to the places we visited the next day during daylight hours. We made future plans to visit the restaurant.

My name is Ivan and the ONLY reason I didn't give this a 5 is because I wish it was a longer tour!!! At the same time an hour and a half is a lot better than most I would think. Gary, your tour guide, just gives you so much history that at the end of the trip, you just... More

I took this tour with my 12 year old son and 9 year old daughter. It was exceptional! I was thoroughly terrified and intrigued by Gary and his fantastic real stories. It was great to hear so much history and eerily fun too. We caught a lot of orbs on our camera which really was the icing on the cake.... More

The Ghost Tour of Monterey [http://www.toursmonterey.com/gpages/gtourdetails.html] was an interesting paranormal flight of fancy into Old Monterey where we run around in a motorized trolley (to this San Fran native, a modified cable car!) and explore a few historical sites. I checked out the website as well. The photos are supposedly "orbs of spirits" but really are simple reflections of light... More

As a 4th grade fundraiser for my daughters class, We took the tour, I didnt realize how much fun it was going to be. Not only where we given a thorough history of Monterey and its past inhabitents, but Gary's story telling, the music and the whole experience was something we are all still talking about. Thanks Gary for a... More

That was the response from my 9 yr old daughter. Our clan of local elementary school kids and parents had a FABULOUS time on Gary's ghost tour. The trolley ride was a added adventure. Gary is extremely entertaining and knowledgeable on local history. This tour is a definite thumbs up!!! If you're a local (or visitor), don't miss out on... More

This was my third ghost tour with Gary! Every time is different and so educational! I believe and I have so many orbs on my pictures that it amazes everyone! This is no hokey tour. It is a lesson and a "make you think" experience. Just use a REAL camera, no cell phones. Apparently the ghosts won't visit you via... More

My sister in law and I took our teen-aged daughters on this tour during a Friday night in October 2012. The tour takes place on a trolley which is fantastic if you cannot walk very far. Our tour guide was incredibly dramatic which the girls found most entertaining. He took us to several historic buildings in Monterey, told us the... More

The idea of ending the day in Monterey with the dead is classic all by itself, but the greatest point of this tour is the history. I realize that ghostly encounters are the unexpected exception to the rule so we focused on the stories. Gary is obviously passionate about Monterey and its stories. He tells them like he's telling them... More
