We had a great time, and learned a lot about the history of the town we wouldn't have otherwise. be prepared to walk around in the dark, so stable shoes and at the very least a flashlight app on your phone.

Gary, our tour guide, was obviously passionate about the history of Monterey and a wealth of information. We had a great time and got to see parts of Monterey you wouldn't find on your own. We strongly recommend this to anyone. We went in a large group of people and I believe that made it all the more worth while.

I went on this trip about 12 years ago, or so. Back then it was strictly a walking trip. I enjoyed the experience so much that I mentioned it to the 20 plus other training participants of a class I was attending in Monterey this past May. We got a group to go. Gary Munsinger was nice enough to work... More

The Tour Guide arrived exactly at 8 PM with the Trolley for the 8 PM tour. Not a great start as those of us waiting thought he might not be coming. The first 40 minutes of the tour was a drive to Tarpys Restaurant where he described some mysterious events from yesteryear that supposedly occurred there. We walked around the... More

We were really looking forward to taking The Ghost Trolley of Old Monterey but an unexpected death in our family left us no choice but to cancel our four day trip to Monterey over Halloween. I originally booked the tour for two on September 29th over the phone with Gary. He sent a confirmation and we were all set. On... More

I'm not sure if I ever took the time to write a review, but here goes. My husband and I took our friends on this tour because we had already gone and we had a blast and wanted our friends to experience it also. They had a great time!! My girlfriend was freaked out and her husband enjoyed the history... More

More like a history lesson in the best way! Take a flashlight please! Uneven ground to walk on! My pics showed some orbs. I have been on many ghost tours all over the country and this was the most historical. You do walk in a cemetery at ten at night.

What a fascinating tour. I wouldnt say that it was exceptionally eery but it was very fascinating from a historical point of view. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and you can tell the amount of research that he has put into some of the sights that you visit. Good sense of humor. What would really make this an outstanding... More

2 years ago our group was in Monterey, and wanted to go on the Ghost Trolley Tour. Unfortunately we came to town the one week that the owner was on vacation. This year we were in the Carmel area, and were able to book a private tour for our group. He picked us up from our hotel, took us on... More

We loved this tour! Gary is so knowledgable about the history of Monterey. He keeps the presentation interesting and lively. Not only did he share hundreds of years worth of history, he shared recent stories that correlated with the stories. Even if you don't believe in ghosts you will enjoy this tour for the history lesson. FYI - at one... More
