Loved this place if a little fresh when we visited in June! Beautiful scenery and parking is easy. Dip your toes into the pacific - its freezing!!

this was a very exciting place and we dined out a couple of times. The sea lions were entertaining and our only regret was not going out to see the wales.

I drove from San Francisco to LA THIS MONTH and planned to stop @ Sta Barbara and Carmel. Monterey was the best surprise of the trip with the cutest promenade, bars and restaurants and the best seafood by the sea

I made a trip here to visit someone and absolutely love the area now. Very attractive location and worth visiting for a few days. Bring a camera. Within reach of some great restaurants and the wharf.

Monterey Bay is romantic, views are spectacular... has an interesting history to the whole area (especially Cannery Row). Wine country is smack in the middle..drive to Salinas..agriculture country only 15 minutes north of Monterey... I loved loved loved it!!!! Cannot wait to go back.

Took family of six to appreciate the bay, its wildlife and older time history, views, architecture, and courtesy. Good value.

Eleven hours , but lots of stops. Beautiful scenery, interesting facts and trivia! Cannery Row was especially impressive for literary value and history. Nice little town. Great aquarium ( once again you need more time to explore this area). Pebble Beach Golf resort!

I'm from Southern California and have been blessed to travel to many places in the world. And I must say that Monterey and California's central and northern coast are still among the most beautiful places on Earth, IMO. The vistas, the history, the literary culture of the town and its surrounding environs (a la Steinbeck) are truly amazing. So peaceful,... More

This is such a wonderful area to walk and just enjoy the ocean views. So relaxing to watch the waves crashing in, birds swooping and seals sunbathing. There is so much to see! Fun to walk on the rocks and enjoy the sea animals and ocean waves.
