This place has everything: the 17 mile drive at Monterrey/Carmel will take you along the beach and to the well-worth-visiting quaintly historical Mission with its beautiful flowers and peace, as well as near the Carmel shopping area. Be sure to visit the galleries there, even if you can't or don't want to buy anything. Monterrey's Fisherman's Wharf is a fun... More

Monterey Bay is an amazing place to be. Especially when it hits the 80's in January. Very pedestrian friendly. Many good restaurants.

I always enjoy driving along and looking at the bay or getting out of the car and taking a walk or sitting on the bench and watching the waves. Use caution though - I have seen quite a few people get just a little too close and get hit by a wave. Take your photos from a safe distance.

Its a nice spectacular view! We had nice sunny weather so it was a big plus. A lots of scenic spots. There is also a aquarium which is quite nice though I found a bit expenssive.

Enjoy the views, quietness of the bay, clear water and a great selection of activities from kayaking, whale watching, shopping and seaside dining.

Lovely place to walk, enjoy the sunshine, watch seals and cormorants. Touristy near Fisherman's Wharf but prices for fishy snacks were quite reasonable and there were seals and pelicans to distract in good numbers. Lovely views across the bay. Great place to walk and while awy the time.

The coastline is so pristine and beautiful in the Monterey Bay with such beautiful sea and plant life. One of my favorite places to go in northern California.
