We rented bikes from fisherman's wharf and headed towards pebble beach and experienced the prettiest and most pleasant cycle of our lives - bear in mind we regularly cycle in the Rockies and this just blew it away. I would also highly recommend whale watching as we saw loads of hump backs breaching and tail up etc, quite the most... More

Love the bay. Harbor seals are always entertaining. None of the restaurants served clams, my husbands favorite, we did have good food on the pier.

This is probably one of the most photographed bays in the world, but it is amazing to see in person. We did the 17 mile drive and the bay was more beautiful around each turn. The 17 mile drive is probably the most concise route to take, if you're pressed for time. However, the bay is so pretty, it's worth... More

Very good aquarium with structured expositions. Jellyfishes absolutely outstanding, there is a few aquariums with them, including both large and very small. Aquarium with tunas, sharks, sardines also ablotue must-see. There is an open terrace where you can observe peninsula.

Monterey Bay Aquarium is a nonprofit organization. All proceeds go to maintaining the aquarium and for oceanic preservation. It doesn't matter where you go in the US to enjoy oceanic life, every effort to educate and expose the public to the beauty of our earth, is worth the price. But if you can't feel gracious about helping the earth, then... More

The highlight for this Australian was the otters! I'm a bit of a snob about water views because of the country I come from, but this was beautiful in its own way. Built up but not too built up, I found it a good mix between commercial and natural.

We did not stay long because it was so cold but we had time to see the amazing buildings, artwork and basking whales. Wish we could have styed longer.

Saw lots of seals, but the otters were in rafts too far from shore to really enjoy... The bay itself was exquisite!

Been to aquariums in DC, Baltimore, GA, NJ, NC and this one was disappointing. Few large fish, floors split so getting around crowded. Sea otters in sm tank..crowded. Not worth it, but now off my bucket list. Reviews not accurate. Tons of Jellies but not worth the $$ even with military discount. Could have done so much more w/ property... More

Easy to access, lots of parking and beautiful view. In the summer you can even get in the water. There is a great view near the old Fisherman's wharf near the Presidio.
