I like the Monterey bay wharf and harbour and the hotel by name Monterey plaza and hotel. We can have a scenic view of the Ocean and can take a board walk if we like. Naval college of Engineering at this town is an added attraction . we love the place.

We had a great time in Monterey Bay walking around Cannery Row and having some wonderful clam chowder! Parking can be tough in high season.

The town is quaint, and beautiful! So many places to eat really good food of all kinds! Shopping is great! Plenty to do for all ages! We took our granddaughters and fun was had by all!

The scenery from Big Sur to San Francisco is fabulous. 17 mile drive is a must, but just driving down past Big Sur or up towards SF you will see breath taking scenery everywhere. Good food everywhere but bring lots of quarters. Parking is very expensive everywhere.

Having been to many towns and beaches on the West Coast, I found out that Monterey Bay is the only place that so much generously displays its beauty. However, the month of May might be the best time to see it. The Bay is more colorful than it is in other seasons with mostly depressing gray or brown withering, dying... More

We had a good time, there is enough to do for a few days. Go for the whale watching! We have seen more than 30 humpback whales

The Car Show in Monterey was great! Lots of places to eat, but 17 miles drive was closed unless you had a $250 ticket for the car show in Pebble beach, a bit pricey for us.

Ok weather overcast, but postage stamp beaches flat sea and it stinks. Nothing to do except eat and the food is none too special fried seafood and chips/cheese/grease. Bubba Gump was the best.

This was one of my most favorite trips. It was so enjoyable to kayak on the Bay but also in the early morning, we would leave the hotel and walk near the Bay holding our hot chocolate. This place is such a beauty! It was fun to watch the sea otters play in the water.
