Neat but touristy

Definitely worth a walk after or before the aquarium but it is expensive and a bit of a tourist trap. The landscaping and monuments/sculptures are wonderful.

Cannery Row is very touristy, but it has it's charms. Some good restaurants that aren't too touristy, a olive oil and vinegar tasting bar, and the Ghiradelli's cafe are the highlights.

Each time I visit, I am hoping for a little slice of West Coast history, but just keeping getting a bigger dose of TOURIST TRAP instead! Its fun for about an hour, but very, very commercial. Restaurants here are more worried about their "turn" than the quality of their food or your experience. Drive thru, and if there is an... More

Before going to the Aquarium, we walked around Cannery Row. Having seen the movie and read the book, we were interested to see some of the landmarks. We were surprised at how close most things were. There is now a new statue grouping by the water in honor of Steinbeck and his characters. Placards point out the significance of many... More

A must do when there...lots of little stores and things to see and people to watch. Can get a bit crowded, so watch where you walk and stay off your IPhone while walking!

This is a great place for first time visitors. There are souvenir shops and a nice variety of restaurants from fast food to fine dining. The aquarium was enjoyable and the ocean views are beautiful. Yes - Parking can be difficult, so take the The FREE MST Trolley, it is the best way to get around the City and avoid... More

This was an interesting walk. Monterrey, itself is a beautiful location. Cannery Row was a little too touristy for me - fudge, ice cream, magnets, etc.

Nice town. Not many places open after hours. I was there for business so enjoyed by stay. Walking distance to old fishermen's wharf.
