We really enjoyed walking around this neighbourhood. Once a place where hard-toiling cannery workers lived and worked, it's now filled with restaurants, shops and things to see.

Cannery Row was more than we expected. Although a tourist location, there are plenty of shops and restaurants. You can easily spend a day here.

This is a great restoration of the old cannery buildings into shops, cafes and hotels. Along the path is a history of the area and glorious veiws of the ocean.

There are plenty of the old cannery buildings still there. Still get a sense of the history of the area when you are walking around. Lots of shops and places to eat.

We enjoyed the walk in Cannery Row. There are many interesting restaurants and stores. We went into a store that was called For Garlic Lovers. We must have spent an hour there. It was so much fun. Of course, we spent quite a few dollars as well! Well worth going there, although there are not many public washrooms available.

Yes, this is worth a one time visit, and if you like shopping little touristy shoppes, this is the place for you. Now in my 60's, shopping is blah...there are some businesses there that are more service/play oriented...like Segway of Monterey--- now that is a do-again!

This is very heavy "touristy" area. Shops, restaurants, art, street musicians, etc. But, it was a nice place to visit. The views of the water are great. Some of the restaurants are great especially Hula's which is two blocks away from main attractions.

This place has 70+ beers on tap. It is a wonderful place for lunch or dinner. Then take a walk down the street to see all the other restaurants and shops. You can also walk along the out side and see the beautiful water-side.
