This place has 70+ beers on tap. It is a wonderful place for lunch or dinner. Then take a walk down the street to see all the other restaurants and shops. You can also walk along the out side and see the beautiful water-side.

One visit is enough. Basically just shops, restaurants, and tons of tourists. The views are nice and walking on the beach is the best part. A good way to spend a few hours.

Avoid at all costs! This place is just for tasteless tourists and children. Only tourist traps, here.

We passed through Monterey whilst driving to Los Angeles, but didn't allow enough time to explore the cannery row area. Had a quick look late in the day when most shops were closing. Looked great to spend a few hours poking around the old cannery. Will make time next time.

Cannery Row was nice to walk down, but if you take the trail the neighborhood quality on the upside of the hill drops a lot. We ate at two restaurants when we visited the Aquarium, the first was a deli across the street. It cost $60 for 5 people to have deli sandwiches (small ones) and drinks. The food was... More

I haven't been to cannery row since 1979 and boy has it changed. There is soo much to see and do that our one day wasn't good enough.

If you like to shop or enjoy being amongst mass tourists and paying high prices this is the place to go. Completely unimpressed by it, but love Monterey!

We enjoyed learning the history and just walking around looking at all the shops. We ate at the Chart House and had an excellent meal, the seafood and view were wonderful.

Cannery Row was OK, but it was just a lot of people and typical tourist shops. Nothing here really grabbed our attention.

It is touristic centre of Monterey. Very nice view to the ocean, a lot of restaurants, bars and shops but nothing really special. If you are looking for something local & typical you will not find it there. Crowd of toursits, difficult to find a parking place. It is better to go somewhere else. Only reason to go there is...
