Cannery Row is no longer the run down fishing village it once was but no one wanted to walk the sidewalks to see it back then. Now there are several very nice hotels, restaurants, boutiques, novelty shops and bars along the street. Also, there is a world class aquarium on the corner. Stop into one of the restaurants or bars(one... More

And I found 3 Nepalese/Tibetan stores and a Turkish store. Interesting gifts, beautiful view, and a bit of history.

Once a thriving sardine cannery, now a tourist destination but I would definately place this on my 'to see' list. One building sits all alone next to a very nice hotel, Ed Rickett's... More

The Cannery Row history is quite interesting and can be found by poking around a bit. Parking is overpriced but less expensive meters can be found 3 blocks Southwest. Several of the tourist shops have exhibits about the cannery boom days.

Cannery Row is a fun place for anyone or everyone. Lots of restaurants, shops, hotels, the aquarium, all right on the Pacific Ocean. Touristy yes, but not over the top. I highly recommend it to anyone in the area, it's definitely worth a stop.

Some good restaurants and pubs in this area, Coopers has great fish and chips and a good menu selection. Live music and good beer. Ghirardelli chocolate across the street has a delicious selection of sundaes and chocolate selections and free discount coupons are given outside the door. As you walk along there are many small shops inside the different buildings.... More

Loved it..people are very friendly..lots of restaurants..shops..and a few wine tasting rooms. Views are beautiful!!!!!! Our hotel-the Sprindrift Inn was within walking distance. On one of the days my husband and I spent the night..in the morning I woke up to barking seals…WOW priceless.
