This is certainly the best aquarium I have ever had the pleasure to visit. The displays are beautiful and well-maintained, the staff is attentive and knowledgeable, the shows are entertaining and the atmosphere is one of learning and fun. The open-seas room is simply breath-taking and if you ever get a chance to go behind the scenes, it's a whole... More

We spent over half a day in the Aquarium, and could have spent more! The exhibits were wonderful, and the staff was very helpful. I wish the family rate for admission was a bit less, but it was worth every penny we spent

I trot the globe in search of good food, and animal life. I have been to many continents and oceana, having never missed an aquarium. This is the best, folks, there is NO comparison. A long standing home to hundreds of thousands of plant and animal species, Montery has few contenders. If you are human in any way, then the... More

My husband and I were so enamoured by the jelly fish and seahorse/sea dragon exhibit. It was really cool to touch the starfish and sea cucumbers even as adults!! I totally can see how this may be one of the best in the world!

This is the most amazing aquarium! The oh-so-huge Open Seas room is mesmerizing. That, combined with the Jellies Experience (jelly fish) and the Secret Lives of Seahorses, is worth the price of admission. Don't miss out!

The jellyfish and sea dragons were awesome. Easy to walk around and see the exhibits. Feeding time was the only time it felt crowded. We did not pay because we had a pass from our VRBO rental. Nothing else to add to all the previous comments.

This is one of the premier aquariums in the world. The location is outstanding, on the shores of the Monterey Bay nature reserve. You can stand on the terrace and watch seals and sea otters frolic in the kelp beds out in the bay. Inside are main tank areas oriented around "the ocean edge" and "the open ocean". You can... More

The exhibits are fantastic, but do NOT miss the open sea feeding at 11:30 a.m. Mesmerizing! The jellies are beautiful.
