Aquarium is not as impressive, rather small, you can probably finish looking at all the exhibits in less than 2 hours. The sea otters were very adorable though. Wouldn't recommend a stop at the aquarium unless you have time to spare.

The place is ok, too bad it's a freakin day care center. For the entrance fee of 40, it is actually pretty small. It is also not very educational at all. The vast majority of exhibits didn't even say where on the globe these animals live IRL. Any sort of sign there was was pretty much on the floor and... More

The aquarium was much larger than I expected. It was crowded as I had expected, but it was well laid out and the crowds didn't keep us from seeing anything we wanted to. Admission can be steep particularly for a family. We were able to score some passes. Check with hotels in the area, many offer passes.

The Monterey Bay Aquarium is fun for kids ( there is a kid play area & touch pool) & fun for adults. Be sure to check out the sea otter feeding & training session ( top level for the best view) super cute! The aquarium does a great job preserving the environment, representing the ocean and being Eco- friendly in... More

World class exhibits...great for all ages - lots to see and do. Get there early before the rush of people hit the gates. A must see if you are in the area.

Wish we'd had another day to explore this beautiful aquarium. So much to see/do/learn. Wonderful, interactive displays for kids--and adults! Worth the price!

Considering we got told this was the best in America, we were sorely disappointed. It didn't seem that big either as we got round it all in approx 90mins. Although the jelly experience was great and the fish tanks size were impressive. The sea otters were great to see, especially at feeding time. Although I would advise all to avoid... More

One of our favorite places to visit. Been here 5 times over the years. You will spend hours in awe of the displays and giant aquariums. The jelly fish displays are unbelievable. Words cannot describe, you have to see the Monterey Bay Aquarium in person.
