I found the aquarium to be average or less than some of the others I have been to before. Seemed like allot of hype and nothing for your money. The kelp forest was interesting and the Giant Pacific Octopus in the tentacles exhibit but everything else was highly over rated. Save your money or trying and get in when you... More

Went here with my 21 year old daughter while visiting her in California. It was a very nice but small place (by small I am comparing it with the Sequarium in Miami). I do think it is better than the Aquarium in Seattle (home). The displays themselves are gorgeous. Not sure I would recommend it or the area to anyone... More

The otters are wonderful! We loved hearing about them and watching them. My other favorite is the jellyfish section - very cool. It's a beautiful facility with wonderful volunteers and employees. What a great educational tool it is.

A little expensive, but the exhibits are lovely and interesting. It is a good way to spend 3-4 hours. It was a little crowded, but it was a nice visit.

I cannot believe this is ranked #1. Not impressed for $40a person. Lasts maybe 2 hours and that's with going to the gift store. Overrated! Save money and go to the zoo.

An excellent aquarium with some really good exhibits. Make sure you catch the sea otter and the main tank feedings, and make sure you get there pretty early for a decent view amongst all the school trips as some areas are a bit packed. Was nice to go out and look through the binoculars on the bay to see wild... More

We are so fortunate to live close enough to try and visit the Monterey Bay Aquarium at least once a year. It's a little expensive, but worth every penny. The marine life that you can experience there and learn about is just incredible. The docents are so kind and it's always easy to find one that will answer any questions... More

We loved it. It covers so many creatures of the sea. The octopus exhibits are incredible and the jelly fish were sooooo beautiful. Be sure you are in front of the main tank when they feed the fish at 11 or at 4, it is worth it. The otters are fun to watch too. It is a very nice aquarium!!!
