The best aquarium in the world I believe, but -1 because of the cost.

We used to visit here when living in the US in a decade ago. The attraction of Kelp and birds are new for us but basically little is changed, and we're glad about it. The restaurant area was shrunk and feel a little bit narrow compared to the before (Means the cafe is expanded, maybe their business strategy based on... More

We had a really great time at the aquarium. It's a terrific family outing and something sure to surprise everyone. We wanted to do one of the private tours as we had heard the 'behind the scenes' tours are very good. Unfortunately there wasn't enough space for us so we will go next time :-) The jelly fish section is... More

Ok, if you have to visit just ONE place while visiting Monterey area, skip Pebble Beach and come to the aquarium. This is without a doubt, one of the best aquarium/sea life exhibitions I've ever seen. My wife and I were in Monterey for a short business trip and a return to a place we'd lived before, so we decided... More

We spent a whole day at the aquarium, which was a great stop along our road trip from Los Angeles to San Francisco. If you're driving, park as far away from the aquarium as you can. Parking fees decrease with the distance away from the attraction. The walk there is pretty scenic anyway. :) There are places to eat and... More

The aquarium is a beautiful facility in a great location so don't be surprised by the ticket prices, $40 for adult, $35 for students. You can walk thru and see all the exhibits and be done in an hour, but get your money's worth. Check out the feed times schedules and plan to watch, also check out the shows. Since... More

I was excited to come to this aquarium as I heard it was ranked within the top 3 in the entire United States. I was sorely disappointed, however, when I got there. The aquarium itself is spacious-it has a fun history exhibit on Cannery Row, which I did actually enjoy learning. The cost to get into the aquarium was too... More

We love Aquariums and always try and visit them in any major centres around the world. Monterey was one of the best aquarium experiences we have had - fabulously laid out and presented - very unique showcases; we only had an hour here as part of a day trip to Monterey and Carmel but you could easily spend 3+ hours... I wanted to go to this aquarium as it is ranked 3 or 6 th in the world depending on which list you use. Surprisingly it is part of the San Francisco city pass. It is a long way from San Francisco and took us several hours to get here. Left at 9:30 am and got to the aquarium at... More
