We've come back to the Monterey Bay Aquarium a few times, first when I was really little and some other times when family was visiting. Honestly I'd like to go down a lot more often but the price was a bit high last time we where there. But there really isn't anything bad to say here, it's a aquarium that... More

This aquarium does not give as comprehensive view of the aquatic world as others I have visited, but it provides alot of information on sea life to be found in the area. The sea otter exhibit is the best I have ever seen. Their interactive experiences for children appear to be very educational and the kids were having a great... More

I appreciate that the Monterey Bay Aquarium teaches us some of the wonders of our oceans. This is an amazing place. The mission of the nonprofit Monterey Bay Aquarium is to inspire conservation of the oceans. They most certainly accomplish this. The aquarium property is well laid out and very inviting to just take your time and be with the... More

We still liked the Georgia Aquarium better, but it was one of the best we've seen. We did the "Behind the Scenes" tour, which I would recommend. It's not a cheap place to visit, but worth it if you have kids or just enjoy seeing and learning about marine life.

Even tough we were there during the busiest season (4th of July weekend), we LOVE the aquarium. If you have the time, buy a 2 day pass and take your time seeing everything. When the crowds are large it's difficult to appreciate the entire facility in one day.

a world class aquarium. We could have easily spent days there seeing all the exhibits. the sea otters are a big hit. we went during the week, and it was quite crowded. I can not imagine the crush on the weekends

Just visited the Monterey Bay Aquarium on Sunday with my 3 year old daughter and 9 year old niece. We had a great time. I was happy to see they are changing things up a bit with a new "musical" attraction at the Aquarium. We have been here many times and you begin to feel like everything is the same,... More

Paid 40 dollars for each adult only to have small viewing areas. Too many people and not able to enjoy this. They need to have a limit on how many people can be put in one area. Do not recommend going on the weekend. There are other fun things to do with 40 dollars per person.

Visited the aquarium as a family group and loved it. Really enjoyed the feeding time shows - seeing the shoal of sardines in with the tuna and sharks was a wonderful sight - also loved the diver going into the kelp forest exhibit and talking directly to the audience in the afternoon. Our 8 year-old loved the splash zone and... More

The great exhibits and the wonderful atmosphere of this aquarium are not to be missed if you are in Monterey. They have really adapted the old cannery well, while paying homage to the fishing industry. They also serve only sustainable seafood and have a great little pocket info sheet that tells you what fish to eat. The exhibits are incredible,... More
