The Monterey Bay Aquarium provides a fantastic experience for a wide range of ages and interests. You can customize to your visit depending on how much time you want to spend and your specific interests. Once we entered the aquarium we asked one of the staff for recommendations on what to see and where to start. The suggestions were very... More

This Monterey Bay Aquarium location, on the Monterey Peninsula, is one of the places you'll want to visit, for sure. So much to do, and so much to see. And, so many other shops & stores right next door....

The aquarium is a must see when in Monterey. We spent half a day checking it out and it was fantastic. We loved that it is very location specific with all the wildlife that is native to the bay.

This is a place to be when one wants to see animals fron the deep. There are lots of varieties of fishes, mammals and even some birds. The entrance charge is quite hefty but well worth it. Spent 3hours inside. The jelly fish was just incredible A must visit when one is in Central California

i had wanted to go to this aquarium since it was first opened and I was not disappointed. I went on a Sunday and was very glad I got there when it opened. I'm had two hours of uncrowded viewing time. By 1:00 it was getting too crowded for me so I visited the gift shop then left. The jellyfish... More

Overall, this place is weak. It's overpriced. Cons: - The psychedelic jelly fish exhibit is just weird and waste of space. I came here to see real jelly fish, not videos. - They should get more animals in the interactive section and make it easier for kids to touch them. The tide pool just had some boring star fish, sea... More

Never seen an aquarium quite like this one! Fantastic and awe-inspiring. My 5yr old just couldn't take his eyes off anything. There was so much to see and do that 1/2 day didn't suffice, we sure will be back. We enjoyed seeing the penguins and the jellyfish exhibits. The staff in the gift shop were friendly and courteous.
