We have been to several aquariums worldwide. This was cleverly organised, with lots of different aspects, light shows, interactive elements. Did not hear any crying/ bored or frustrated children! Stayed until closing time. Parking nearby cost $15, as the $10 one was full.

I visited the Bay Aquarium and overall it was a great experience. They have different types of expo's and shows. Overall I would recommend this to be a visit mainly for Children.

Besides all the great marine life the facility itself is very inviting which made it a pleasure to be there. Take in as many shows as you can, it makes the experience even more meaningful and educational.

The cold waters of the northern California coast are less inviting than the tropics unless you like climbing into a 1/4 inch wetsuit. This great facility brings the lush habitats of our coast up close and personal. The facility has thoughtfully grown over the years and continues to deliver surprises on every visit. This one of the places that one... More

My wife and I could have spent "days" in the Jelly Fish room. It was absolutely amazing. The Monterey Bay Aquarium is a must to see.

The overall impression I received from our visit was 'This was for young families and children!' The exibits and design was totaly around children. Some of the tanks were huge and well displayed but us old crinkle's were not impressed firstly by the cost…and secondly by the noise of the children. I thought $80'ish was to much to charge for... We first visited the aquarium in 1985 and could see from this visit that it has gone from strength to strength. We signed up for the Feeding Frenzy not really knowing what to expect. It was incredible. From the off Jenna and Stephanie made the experience truly memorable. We had our own small group tour of key parts of the... More

The aquarium in Monterey is unquestionably very modern. However, I have been to other aquariums with far more fish and creatures to see; Melbourne aquarium in Australia is by far a much better place. It is very expensive for what is there. I expected somewhere that you could spend a few hours at but if you really stretch it out,... More

It's a bit pricey but I was impressed with the displays and the movies that are shown every 1/2 hour on various topics. It's worth a trip if you've never been before but I can't see going back once you've been there.
