Just when I thought all my holiday shopping was done, I had the opportunity to visit Kepler's. What a treat! The best selection and great help! It's packed full of books on things you didn't know you needed and I even fount a book to teach my Nephew Cam how to use Python programming to score in Minecraft (his favorite... More

A Menlo Park and peninsula institution since 1955, Kepler's books keeps in business when other bookstores have been torpedoed by Amazon due to its loyal customer base, willingness to innovate, and strong schedule of author appearances. Even if you prefer to read book electronically (as I do) you can support Keplers by buying their versionf of e-books by Kobo.

For some Kepler's is a bit like a religion. All gifts are Kepler's related and all time and money goes towards this lovely little independent bookstore. It's a nice place to wander in and peruse and it's also a place to go if you are looking for something special or specific. The staff is knowledgeable, kind and courteous and if... More

Kepler's is extremely helpful with ordering a book that is not available. Kepler's also host book readings which are quite enjoyable.

I went to this book shop while visiting my brother. It is a favorite place of his children... And he and his wife. Selection was great and I love the way they tag recommendations. I certainly wish there were more shops like this.

One can contact the bookstore or look on line at their web site if interested in what events are planned. They also offer book for... More

Browsing Keplers and having a cup of coffee at Cafe Borrone next door is one of my favorite ways to spend an hour or two on the San Francisco Peninsula. Book lovers will feel right at home: a wonderful selection of books, knowledgable and friendly staff. I always find at least one book (and usually more like five) I'd love... More

The main indie bookstore for the Menlo Park/Palo Alto area. Great selection of books actively curated by a knowledgeable staff rather than just stocked from a best seller list. Need a good cookbook? Kepler's has a great selection. Lots of evening events with book signings and famous authors. Next door is Cafe Baronne for a nice lunch/coffee/dinner. Park in the... More
