the grounds are awesome, although likely not cared for as much as in its heyday. Very old school and peaceful. The facility has been sold and sunset is moving soon.

Sunset Magazine Celebration Weekend - what a great event! The grounds are beautiful with the blooming trees and plants, plus they were all marked for ease of the guest. It was a great place to see cooking demonstrations, meet Chef's and taste samples of great food. There were vendors offering travel and home and garden items. The Food trucks there... More

This local gem was once a jewel of Menlo Park with the test gardens and yearly Open house. Unfortunately having recently sold out the lovely gardens and test kitchens will be plowed down to make space for housing.

Loved their celebration weekends and sorry they have sold and closing but hopeful they will open up something else that will be just as much adventure to attend as these have been!

The last of the annual outdoor fairs is over ... held in early June, 1915. So it up to you to move quickly to walk the gardens and see the fantastic fauna and floral. The latest trends are low water, bug free, chemical free, hi-bryd plant COMBINATIONS. These will provide greatly enhance your home, and equally reduce the costs of... More

This is the Sunset Magazine ourdoor farr that is held once a year. It is worth going to because it features all the best restaurant around the areas as well as places to go in California. You not only get good food, but you see how the magazine really works. It's a fun day for the whole family.

My husband, 5 kids and I were lucky enough to be able to visit the Sunset Magazine display gardens and it was simply amazing. Huge diversity of plants and the garden design is inspiring!!! Definitely worth a visit. Check the website to make sure it is open for visits.

Large wooden doors entrance to the spacious reception area lead into an expanse of green lush lawn. This is a small garden with an ongoing test garden in the back with changing flowers and vegetables being grown and tested. Some of these display you will see in the Sunset Magazine.
