It was OK. No tour guide and you can't go up in the lighthouse. Point Arena's lighthouse is much, much better. more
I was surprised at how well funded this site was. Besides the lighthouse, 3 houses (for the light keeper and others) are well preserved and one is furnished and available for self-tour. Placards detail a lot about the history of the lighthouse and a separate building discusses sea life with a focus on whales as well as a small aquarium... more
Please note...this is a truly wonderful lighthouse...but no one tells you that there is a half mile walk each way to get down to see it...I also noted that if you parked your car in the lot...and chose to walk straight down the road next door to the inn and light house..that it is easier for the elderly than the... more
