I've been here a few times now, as my niece lives in Mendocino, and the beauty of this place never fails to amaze me. If you're looking for a historic location with lots of splendid vistas to see and great places to eat and shop, the Mendocino Coast is for you!

The Mendocino coast is lovely, with numerous parks to stop and enjoy the views. There are some interesting communities along the way, as well as good places to eat. Just take your time, the drive is the purpose, the destination only secondary.

Loved it all, really. Drive was long but so beautiful. The country is mesmerizingly beautiful and the coast and bluffs and the sea. A lovely historic location.

One of the most beautiful spots on the planet. Magnificent surf, great coastline for exploration and climbing, easy and comfortable walk. Gorgeous no matter the very changeable weather!

The bluffs were fabulous! Lots of nooks and different views of the waves splashing on the rocks. A cave under the bluff was fun to view from different angles. The bluffs went on and on!

The Pacific coast at Mendocino is one of those simply beautiful, rugged and awe-inspiring places that always draws me back. Driving SR 1 can be a challenge, but if you are just NOT in a hurry (and why would you be?), then it provides hundreds of vistas along those snake-like curves.

I fell in love with this coast line as a child, so many rocks to climb on. As an adult I can sit for hours and watch the waves, and smell the salt. The best time is at night, the fog horns and the light house reflecting, and nothing like the fog rolling in.
