Romantic Getaway with Loved One

We enjoyed the Mendocino Coast and all that it had to offer with the village and restaurants. We also enjoyed the area that we visited for hiking.

The little community of Mendocino, located on a headland surrounded by the Pacific Ocean, is well known as an artist colony. The buildings have a New England feeling, so much so that the film “Summer of ’42 “ depicting a New England town, was filmed here. But it was the TV series “Murder She Wrote” with Jessica Lansbury (set in... More

We enjoyed our stay - a lot like Big Sur. Very relaxing. Lots of curvy roads, so if you get car sick, beware.

What can I say. Go there, see the sunset, find yourself again as you take in the enormity of the ocean and the beauty of nature. Highlight of a NoCal trip.

The drive here from both coastal and the Redwoods are twisty, but so worth it. The Ocean view and sky are everchanging and endless. The northern coastline is the less disturbed, more peaceful and yet wilder part of California's coast, wild being the nature of the winds and the waves of the water. If going between Medocino and Fort Bragg,... More

Walked around the coast in Mendocino on a November day early in morning. The air was clear, crisp & fresh, the views were beautiful and the surf sounds were mesmerizing. Great place to walk, meditate and take in everything thru the senses. I returned later in the morning that same day and the fog had moved in. The environment was... More

How can one describe the beauty of the Northern CA coast but to experience it yourself. Our experience, included fog, mist, rain and a smidgen of sunshine. Staying in Little River overnight was wonderful. We drove from Napa to Little River in 4-5 hours. We stopped only twice because of the changing weather. We stopped and took a short hike... More

It's good for any relationship to get away once in a while. To shed the routines and be open minded towards new experiences. We had a lovely time in Mendocino. Crisp, cold and clear.

The northern California coast is beautiful as it is always changing. Sandy beaches turn into cliffs just to keep your interest, with swimmers beware. These waters can be dangerous with hidden undertows to grab the you and the waters can be chilling cold. But it is still relaxing and wonderful to behold. Mother Nature at her finest.

Take the time to drive Highway 1 to enjoy the breathtaking sights and take in a spectacular sunset. Truly one of the highlights of the trip!
