We had a great time riding on the beach, which we had never done before. Everything was right on time, tack was good and horses well behaved. Thanks !

We enjoyed a 2 hour beach ride recently. The horses were very well behaved and well taken care of. The ride was easy enough for beginners but had a bit of challenge and excitement for experienced riders. The scenery was incredible and our leader Tobi was informative and friendly. Tons of fun!

Great experience and we did the beach ride. We were lucky we had good weather which helped. Saw breeching dolphins and I had the horse, Magic. Very easy to lead and a gentle soul. I would highly recommend booking this, if you are into riding horses. You can be a novice and need no experience.

We enjoyed this riding experience! Most in our group were very inexperienced (probably averaged 3 horseback rides among the twelve or so of us). Unfortunately my husband, two teenagers, and me were not able to ride close to each other due to quirks of the horses (Gus likes to be out front, Caddy is pokey and also likes to be... More

This was our second trip, and it was just as breathtaking and exhilarating as the first. John and Tobi are the best horseback guides I have ever experienced. I cannot recommend a better thing to do if you are staying anywhere close to Sea Ranch/Gualala or north. The massive 5+ mile beach is gorgeous and the trip up and down... More

We had a fabulous ride on a stunning beach, soaking up the sun and the salt air. I can't imagine how this experience could have been any better. Toby, our guide, had a wealth of information about the local area. She had selected perfect horses for each of us, and the horses could not have been gentler. We rode along... More

We were visiting Sea Ranch for a family girl's trip and a cousin recommended Ross Ranch and specifically the beach ride. We were so glad we followed his advice! John and Tori were so great! The horses were well behaved and well suited to their riders of all skill levels. The views - stunning!! Reasonably priced too. We will be... More

Experiencing the beautiful California coast on horseback with the family-owned Ross Ranch is simply the best!!! My husband, a less experienced rider, and I, a more experienced rider, were very well matched with excellent mounts. We both enjoyed the stunning scenery along the beach. John and Tobi were outstanding, knowledgeable and fun guides. We can't wait to go again.

I visit my family in the Manchester/Gualala area twice a year. ROSS RANCH will now be added as a "family tradition" each time we come. My husband & I took our Grandson's (2 very small 7 & 10 year old's). John & Toby instructed with a firm, but gentle hand, & did not baby, the boys. We would recommend this... More
