Went out to see whales, and we saw a couple of whales playing around. We booked thru Groupon. Easy free parking and easy on boarding. Well organized and easy trip. The people on the boat were very nice and helped out with questions and there were beer, sodas and some candy to buy. 2 well working bathrooms as well. The... More

We reserved the whale watching trip and paid ahead. We parked at the Fisherman's village parking lot as it stated to do on our confirmation. When we got out we walked around for 15 minutes trying to find the place. There are absolutely no signs advising where to go. Finally about 5 minutes before the tour I called and told... More

My daughter lives in Santa Monica. I wanted to see the annual migration of the California grey whales, but I didn't want to drive very far to do it. Glad we found Marina del Rey Sportfishing. We literally took the 3 hour tour. We booked online, and it was fairly painless. I thought the price was very reasonable. Their directions... More

Took the half hour walk from my hotel to do some dock fishing which was advertised via Internet. Bought my CA fishing license on line before I left. When I got there the person working the shed said that they have no live bait. No problem, do you have any options? They do, frozen squid. Perfect. I'd like to do... More

I cannot speak more highly about this experience and the crew on the ship. Besides the one major downfall of my boyfriend having extreme seasickness the whole time (and basically sitting out the entire trip) everything ELSE went perfect. I went on a Tuesday morning and was lucky to ride on the New Del Mar. This is one of the... More

Great experience, completely worth the $45 we paid for 2 people (Groupon plus $5/person fuel charge) . Did the 3 hour whale watching trip on 12/28/14. Saw Humpback whales, large pods of dolphins and loads of other sea life. Professional crew, and would have been a great value at full price! The $4 beers and reasonably priced snacks were a... More

I'm from the East Coast and decided to choose Marina del Rey Sportfishing for my first party boat excursion on the West Coast. It couldn't have gone better. The boat (The New Del Mar) is huge with lots of space and very clean. The breakfast sandwich they made for me on board was AMAZING! The boat crew/staff are all very... More

Wow, what a great trip! We had two excellent guides who really knew their stuff-birds, whales, anything ocean related. One of them posted his beautiful photos online for us, no charge. Boat is very nice, plenty of cold beer for sale with no price gouging. We saw three different kinds of whales, thousands of dolphins, big pelicans, sea lions. I'll... More

Went fishing with my son on a afternoon weekday trip. Only 16 people on the boat plus the crew. Used a Groupon to get nearly a half price fare including the fishing rods. The person taking the money would not accept the electronic coupon on my smart phone and demanded paper coupons only. Good thing I had the paper coupon... More
