Attended half a day trip from morning starting at 7.30. 45 minutes to the spot, 3-4 hours fishing (200 yards deep). Rented gear a bit warned out, not very sensitive but well prepared. Ship is nice and comfortable. Army of cormorants were trying to steal your catch (smaller ones). Better book your place as this way you secure your place... More

We booked a fishing trip 2 weeks ago and contacted via email. On the date we (and 10-12 other passengers) were at the dock, waiting for the boat. After 20 minutes of waiting another person called the provider. We heared that the trip was canceled. The reason for the cancellation was rain. No one told us or the other people... More

I am a periodic deep sea fisherman and have fished out of long beach, san pedro, san diego and Oxnard docks many times but this time I wanted to take my 9 year old granddaughter and my 2 sons to fish for a few hours from a more nearby area. One of my son's is prone to seasickness and this... More

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Although we didn't see any whales, we saw plenty of dolphins, seals and birds, and still had a great time. The crew tried their best to find whales for us but it was not to be. Would recommend this company to anyone interested in something similar

Thanks Captain and crew of Betty O! Cost was a real value. Between the 12 anglers, each of us limited out on fish. My son and I caught a total of 10 Rockfish each, 1 four ft. Wolf Eel weighing 40 pounds (Which we released.), and several Sculpin. The Deckhand was very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. The Captain was very... More

I visited Marina del Rey Sportsfishing while vacationing in the area. Their site advertised dock fishing for $10. I am from out of state, so I purchased a special fishing license for this specific purpose. When I got to their location, the guy said they need a 24 hour notice to provide poles and bait for dock fishing, which is... More

We decided to do this trip spur of the moment after finding it on Groupon. The trip was just the right length (about three hours) and there were beverages and light snacks (chips) for sale on board. The guide was very engaged and knowledgeable. We had an excellent time and are so glad we did it - we were lucky... More

I have always wanted to go fishing but have no experience of it whatsoever. All staff on the boat confirmed this was not an issue and they would help as much as you needed them to including rent of the rod etc. some of the other visitors had their own equipment and definitely knew what they were doing but 2... Went on the 630-300 fishing boat. It was alot of fun and the crew were all great! Very helpful and polite. This was my 3rd time going deap sea fishing on this 2wk vacation, I also went on the half day trip from redondo beach and the half day trip from 22nd street. There is no comparison! On both of...
