Nice souvenir shop across from an incredible restaurant (Malibu Farm Cafe) that serves food from 3 local Malibu organic farms. Delicious & with an amazing view of Surfrider Beach & beyond. Try to park free on Pacific Coast Hwy otherwise paid parking by the entrance to the pier.

One of the few places in Malibu you can park for free along the kerb and access great views of Malibu the beach and homes right on the shore. You can hire fishing gear at the end of the pier in a really nice gift shop has some really nice inexpensive items clothes toys and Malibu souvenirs. The pier is... More

I loved strolling on and near this historic landmark. It is surrounded by many great little side day trips and plenty of fine eateries. At high tide the waves are gorgeous to view.

Calm and nice place to sit an enjoy a crispy and beautiful morning. Watch the surfers waiting for the perfect wave and have some lunch at the very popular restaurant at the end of the pier - Malibu Farm.

The Malibu pier is nice, it has a great view, but the beach was not that exciting, when we got to the beach next to the pier we wanted to get into the sea but there was a warning sign that said the sea was contaminated and swimming was banned, at least you were surfing. So we wanted to rent... More

Staying in Malibu

Neighborhood Profile
Malibu
The Malibu coastline is like a chameleon. In some areas it resembles the French Riviera with its lush, green hillsides descending into crescent-shaped shorelines. In others, it feels 100% Southern Californian with beaches wide and flat as a football field, and often crowded with beach-goers lounging on towels and playing volleyball. Other coastlines still feel secluded, tucked under tall cliffs and dotted with stunning rock formations. In certain areas, where the ocean waves are just right, surfers can be seen bobbing in the water. Up in the mountains to the east hikers take in truly stunning views of the ocean and the sprawling Los Angeles landscape. And along Pacific Coast Highway, restaurants are filled with visitors and locals from all walks of life. Stumble into the right place at the right time, and you’ll likely encounter a celebrity.
