Description: Our Santa Ynez Valley winery tasting room offers one of the Central...
Our Santa Ynez Valley winery tasting room offers one of the Central Coast’s most comfortable and comprehensive visitor experiences, including daily winery tours and extensive picnic facilities. Archive photos and other artifacts chart the Firestone family’s pioneering heritage, from turn-of-the-century tire innovation to the establishment of Santa Barbara County’s first estate winery in 1972. The recently remodeled tasting room features an island bar and picture windows that overlook our estate vineyards. We strive to offer an informative and welcoming atmosphere that will appeal to wine enthusiasts and novices alike. Our free daily tours guide you through the history of the winery, and through the production of fine wine from vine to glass. Tours begin at the demonstration cork tree and continue out into the estate vineyards. The winemaking process is then showcased from the crush pad to the fermentation cellar to the barrel cellar. Tours typically last between 20 to 30 minutes, depending on the volume of guests and depth of questions. Tours depart daily at 11:15 a.m., 1:15 p.m. and 3:15 p.m.

Fun tour, lots of info. Loved the Cork tree and historic photos from the Firestone family. Very informative, lovely facility as well.

We were doing the Santa Ynez and Paso Robles wine country tour. Firestone happened to be our very first stop. The property is pleasant and what you expect a winery setting to be. The tasting room is nicely appointed. The large square bar and side bar allow the ability to spread out and have a more intimate tasting experience with... More

We were looking for something to do on our way between San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara. We'd seen the good reviews on TripAdvisor so decided to call in. As we were booked onto the 1315 tour we took the wine sample flight first. This was really informative and great value for money. The staff treated us to a few... More

Travelling through the S.L.O. countryside, I was looking for a winery that offered not just a tasting room, but also a guided tour of the facilities, hoping to get my kid (9 y.o.) to learn something about the wine making process and maybe even interested into the way food reaches the table. What a disappointment. The highlight of the guided... More

This was our last stop in a series of wine tastings over 3 days. It was a Monday and therefore a slow day and we didn't have to fight through the crowds to get our sips in. We had an attentive server with good information who hooked us up with a winery tour that pretty good. The wines were across... More

We couldn't have been happier with the wine tasting experience we had today at the Firestone winery. Dawn (like the sunrise) was very welcoming and knowledgeable about all of the different types of wine. We are certainly not wine experts, but have been to many wineries in France, Italy, Temecula, and in the Santa Ynez Valley. I have to say... More

Enjoyed our tasting with Effrin. He was great. Made us feel right at home. Since I am in Industry, we were able to taste just about all they had their. One of the better stops on our trip. Prices were reasonable in Wine Country. Bought quite a few bottles. Worth a visit.

Took advantage of yoga in the vineyard along with a chocolate truffle and wine pairing, deliciously decadent. Dawn was very informative and helpful, great assets to the vineyard. This was followed up with a vineyard tour, where the tour leader ran through his script and was not very engaging. Wines and were sumptuous, scenery was divine.

It is a pretty nice tasting room. Big & open & our favorite part was looking at all the photos (history) of the family. Nice place & everyone was friendly. It was a bit rushed of a tasting & although the girl serving us was friendly, she didn't know much- but she was learning. None of it was bad bud... More

Having had a great experience here a few months ago, we decided to return to confirm our impressions. The wines were excellent, the ambiance was great (not too crowded during the winter), and - they are dog-friendly. Jack and Winston enjoyed a snack and a bowl of water, while we enjoyed the tasting. Great place!
