Archive photos and other artifacts chart the Firestone family’s pioneering heritage, from turn-of-the-century tire innovation to the establishment of Santa Barbara County’s first estate winery in 1972. The recently remodeled tasting room features an island bar and picture windows that overlook our estate vineyards. We strive to offer an informative and welcoming atmosphere that will appeal to wine enthusiasts and novices alike. Our free daily tours guide you through the history of the winery, and through the production of fine wine from vine to glass. Tours begin at the demonstration cork tree and continue out into the estate vineyards. The winemaking process is then showcased from the crush pad to the fermentation cellar to the barrel cellar. Tours typically last between 20 to 30 minutes, depending on the volume of guests and depth of questions. Tours depart daily at 11:15 a.m., 1:15 p.m. and 3:15 p.m. « less

You get to sit down here in what I think is the most beautiful tasting room with an incredible view. I recommend the Reserve Wine Tasting, a bit steep at $15. each, but you taste the best they have to offer. We liked the 2010 Chairman Merlot and the 2009 Ambassador Meritage the best. They have excellent tasting olive oils... More

On vacation, and was looking forward to visiting Firestones Winery. First, the guy who stood behind bar to pour us our flight of wines was terrible. I heard him tell some customers he was up all night with his 2-year old. Not a great excuse..... Then he never talked to us, or told us about the wines, unless we asked.... More

With lots of wine experience on our way to Santa Barbara, and the Bachelor connection, lol, I made us stop at this vineyard. We skipped the tour, as have been on many, but did a Reserve tasting. We were not noticed for about 5 minutes, and there was absolutely zero passion in the pouring staff. Knowing good wines well enough,... More

Had the select wine tasting and was suprised by the quality of the wines. Friendly servers took the time to explain the wines in detail. Took home a case with me!

My last visit was in 2006 when this was operated by the Firestone family, so when I realized this was "on our way" I was anxious to stop again and introduce it to my hubby. Our pouring hostess explained that the winery is now under Foley ownership/management. We enjoyed tasting seven different wines. Tasting was $12.50 for each of us.... More

Not hard to get too from the 101. Immaculate grounds, good wine, excellent service. My family enjoyed the tour and the wine tasting...... not free for the wine tasting. No charge for the tour.

We visited this winery as part of our Captain Jack tour for wine tasting - we did not have a tour that actually took around formally- but Janz took us into the back and showed us the holding tanks and facility - the grounds were beautiful with wild flowers and tons of grape vines.. Great photo ops all around!! The... More

I've visited Firestone Winery many times and have never been disappointed. I've been on the walk-around tour a couple of times so I thought I'd seen it all, but my server, Dawn, was assigned to do the afternoon tour so we tagged along. I was impressed not only by her fun and informative tour, on which I learned things I... More

It has been about 25 years since we first visited the Firestone Vineyard tasting room and it seems just as nice as it was back then. Contrary to the reviews of some reviewers, we had an excellent experience. We tasted the course of Featured Wines ($10 per person) and, even though the two attendants were being kept busy waiting on... More
