It is a smaller tasting room, but to me more enjoyable than most other commercial wineries up the road. I liked the white wines and the rose but think that are a bit overpriced. That seems to be the case with most places when going wine tasting. What is a must if you have the time is to book the... More

My husband and I visited this winery for the first time last weekend. Its so beautiful in this area. We each tried a red wine flight, and a couple of them were pretty good. The wine host was funny and personable.

Many of the wineries in this area are charming and upscale. Koehler is not. It is a simple room on a simple field w a very cute cat and some ostrich in the pen outside. It also does not have the beautiful views other wineries have. The place was quitee full and there was only one person pouring. It was... More

We went to buy wine for our son and daughter-in-law- did the wine tasting! That was interesting. Dan who served us was a real fun guy - and knowledgeable! A must stop on Foxen Canyon.

We used to be members at Koehler Winery when our son was a student at Cal Poly SLO. Now that he has graduated, we don't make it up north as often but Koehler is always first on our list to stop by when we head up that way. The wine is awesome & Dan who works there is a kick... More

This winery has a great little tasting room and outdoor seating for a picnic. Their wines are all very good and the staff is knowledgeable about their product and the area. If you are planning out a tour, include this one.

The wildlife made this stop unique. The Emu were like something from Jurassic Park. The server was very friendly and personable. This was the only winery we visited that included the glass in the cost of the tasting. The reviews on the California Winery Advisor website were inaccurate in this area - most of the wineries we read about were... More

We stopped here on a whim and are delighted that we did. Dan "the wine man" was very friendly and knowledgeable and he made our tasting visit VERY enjoyable. We can't wait to open the wine we purchased!

We loved the wines, the tasting room was larger than most, there was a nice covered patio and a large back yard to picnic on. They didn't have crackers to cleanse your palate, but rather had an assortment of fine cheeses to enjoy! We were there Labor Day weekend and they had live music as well. This may have been... More

If you like Sangiovese wines, put Koehler on your itinerary. I'm a big fan of this wine, enjoying the fruity flavor. This is a light red, drinkable on its own or with food. The woman pouring the wine was so friendly, she made us feel at home. The Chardonnay was also delicious, not too heavy for this type of wine;... More
