My daughter is 10. She has always wanted one of these dolls but I could never justify spending the money. But, now she's 10 and growing up way too fast for me, so I decided to work some overtime and seize the opportunity to buy her the doll while she is young enough to enjoy it. We are a middle... more

My daughter was so excited to go visit the American girl Place. I had gone to the one in Chicago without her so I wanted to make sure to take her. I drove 3 hours just to get there through LA traffic. We finally got there and she was so excited. She's only 4 so she didn't know much about... more

My daughter is 81/2, and we shopped and had lunch at the American Girl store in LA. She had a blast, the store is very well organized, with a seperate room for each historical doll,as well as rooms for the doll of the year, and the ones that look like you. My daughter went to the photo studio and had... more

I came here with my daughter and a friend of ours and her daughter. They are 4 years old. We were going to just sit around and watch them having a good time eating a few tiny cookies for the outraged price of $20.00 for each girl. The waitresses bring the staff to our table without asking us if we... more

I am very unhappy with our experience at the American Girl Place Los Angeles where 4 of us, (2 moms and 2 daughters) prepaid over $700(!) months in advance for the "Day at American Girl Place Package" to celebrate the girls 10th birthdays. In a nutshell, they way over-promised and completely under-delivered. We spent over $700 (mostly for the "experience")... more

I had my daughter's 10th birthday there this past weekend and I paid a pretty penny for it...$32.00 per person (9 kids, 1 adult) and was told everything was included in this price, except for tip and tax. When I received my bill I almost fell out of my seat it was a lot higher than expected. An additional 18%... more

American Girl is the greatest place in the world to take your little girl. You will fall in love with the atmosphere. There are little girls running everywhere, without a care in the world. You can eat in the cafe, which is very good, I might add. You can get her doll's hair done, have her picture taken with her... more

My 9 year old daughter and I visited the American Girl Place in LA last week. We had a simply fabulous time!! We are from Australia, and therefore have nothing like this at home. We spent many weeks planning the trip to this store. We didn't go to the theatre or eat in the cafe, just the shopping experience alone... more
