Great place to see Disney films - especially when they show the "oldies". Sometimes Disney characters are there in "person". Great place to take children.

We won biggest fans of Jimmy Kimmel and attended a taping. The theater was nice, we had decent seats they were comfortable and the green room was nice. Alas we had cameras in our line of sight and did not get to meet Kimmel. The sound and lighting was spot on. They do validate parking if you park in a... More

Mostly great for children, but I also enjoyed it very much as an adult. They do something unique for all movies such as 4D for Nightmare Before Christmas & an epic laser show for Big Hero 6! Even when I went with general admission tickets, I sat with a great view. Definitely worth a visit :)

I've been going to the El Capitan a couple times a year since Disney bought it and made it their own. It is really a fun movie experience with a variety of themed entertainment before each movie, and sometimes movie props downstairs on display after the movie. My advice, get there early and buy your ticket in person. If you... More

We have traveled past this old theater several times over the years, yet we have never stopped by to take in an event/movie. We arrived early the morning on a Saturday to see Big Hero 6 at this famous El Capitan Theater venue. The very first thing we did was have a wonderful sit down breakfast with "Baymax" from Big... On top of the movie being great I enjoyed the movie memorabilia and props displayed outside of the movie theater. Nice museum for the kids.

It's quite special. Especially for the kids. But it's on Hollywood Blvd, and if you lived in L.A, we all know the blvd is not kid friendly. It's no where near the glamorous place people make it out to be. But I have seen a few disney flicks at El Capitan and both times were special. We saw Frozen on... More

It's just a theater, not the Taj Mahal. Do not even begin to understand why it is a TA attrac tion. Makes me qquestion TA.

Don't make this a destination, if you happen to pass bye, stop to admire the classic Hollywood theater. If you are lucky, you can catch a movie premier full of Hollywood starts.

Really a nice theater, balcony seating... usually has a small show before the movie and organ music of favorite Disney songs...very expensive on condiments and parking
