Went to see Frozen Sing-A-Long. General admission tickets $10 for kids, $11 for adults. There were not that many people there so VIP reserved seats really not needed (1pm showing on a Friday). We sat near the front for the live action parts. We got covered in the fake snow which fell which was fun. They had sound issues with... More

Before there was Blockbuster, Netflix and Cable TV there were these great film palaces where the "event" was far more than the film, Attending any movie here was a great social event by itself. We totally enjoyed this beautiful cathedral of American history. The ambience transcends everything else on an evening of great film and Hollywood nostalgia.

Thank you Disney for preserving this magnificent venue. $18 to see this place, hear a magnificent theatre organ, and watch a fun 3D shown and the brilliant "Inside Out" is a bargain. Sound system simply amazing.

I brought my 13-year-old and my friend's 5-year-old to see Inside Out. What a cool theater. We loved the 3-D music show before the feature. I would strongly recommend going here for a fun movie experience.

We were told the organ played every night before the film. We bought our non-refundable tickets from the pleasant box office lady, then discovered the organ was only played on weekends. She said she could not issue a refund, but we could speak to the manager. He happened to come out just then and listened to our story. When he... More

Love this theater! Such great events, screenings, etc. Parking and driving there is a pain, but so worth it. I just wish the store next to the theater had more disney pins!

I went to a 10am session, but at 8:30 I arrived for a tour of the theatre. For $15 I was able to go backstage and see heaps, including the dressing rooms, the Sherman brothers room and get a photo with the organ. My guide was so amazing and they even gave assistance to get my confectionary for the session.... More

While in Hollywood, I just HAD to see Tomorrowland at the El Capitan. The theatre is a bit dated, but still (for me), an ultimate Disney experience. They were very humble at the theatre, announcing that they knew that movie-goers had SEVERAL places to choose from to see this film, and that they were happy that we choose that venue.... More

Watched the 7pm session of Inside Out. Staff were completely professional at all times and were able to help out with any problem.

We took the kids to see Inside Out, was a gorgeous theatre, the pre movie performance was a new experience for us but we all loved the dancers and the 3D effects. It costs a bit more and the seats etc are pretty original but I felt that this all added to the character of the place. We loved our... More

Staying in Hollywood

Neighborhood Profile
Hollywood
Hollywood undoubtedly conjures up images of movie stars and high-end lifestyles, and to this day, tourists flock here from around the world to see the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame, Chinese Theatre and to catch a glimpse of the famed Hollywood sign up close. Celebrity impersonators and crowds give these areas the feeling of an amusement park while many clubs and hotels fill up around the weekends for late-night partying - the Hollywood club scene is a haven for thumping music and table-side bottle service. But parties aren’t the only way to enjoy this area, many visitors come to the neighborhood to sit back with a picnic to watch a performance at the Hollywood Bowl and those looking to stay fit trek along nature trails in the Hollywood hills and in Griffith Park.
