we stayed at the Celebrity Hotel Hollywood which is just a short walk away and guests are able to book a dinner at the castle. it was a bit annoying to have to pack the formal attire for the one night of our 2 week trip, but did so anyway because the reviews were so good. The food was really... more

Maybe if it weren't so expensive it wouldn't be such a let down. We went for brunch, $15 per person at the door. You have to do a buffet, which I don't like at all because you feel like you have to eat more than you actually want and since it was $40 per person when we got the bill... more

You have to buy a membership to get in, but check into their "Open Seasame" Membership that is only good for one month. The ambiance is wonderful, with interesting curiosities at every direction; the food was top-notch. I don't know how often they change the menu, but as of Oct 08, the salmon and 'Tomahawk Steak' were spot-on. Some reviewers... more

I took my cousin who was visiting from the south and I found it to be very crowded compared to years ago. After a very good dinner we sat at a round table where a magician did some card tricks for us and that was delightful. First show was the main show and it was OWESOME!! Deserving a Standing Ovation,... more

I have been to the Magic Castle three times now. The first time I went was on a slow night, a Monday in March, for my birthday. The last scheduled shows did not happen, as there were too few people there. I think the popularity has picked up since then, as every time I have been back since it has... more

My friend had received an invitation from one of the magicians performing that evening. I was not sure what to expect, but it exceeded my expectations! It was truly mesmerizing and just Awesome! Do look on the web site to adhere to the dress code, they will enforce jackets on men and dresses for ladies or a complete pant suit... more

Being a member for 8 years I can truly say the Magic Castle is an amazing experience- whether you've gone once or many, many times. You have to be with a member or have a pass from a member to get in- the biggest downfall is its a little pricey, but it's definitely a unique/cool night out. Definitely try to... more

When you want to see the creme de la creme of magical entertainment...go here! The Magic Castle was more than I expected. Most Los Angeles attractions were mostly hype and failed to live up to expectations but the Castle delivered more than advertised. The atmosphere is the first thing that grabs you as you enter. Its a beautiful rustic mansion... more

I have been to Magic Castle five times over five years. The food is INFINATELY better than the last four times. We went last night, saw Johnny Ace Palmer, Danny Magic and John Cassidy. First, $20 cover, not a problem, but don't bother showing up at 5pm, Irma (the ghost piano) doesn't play and the bartenters aren't there yet.....2nd, the... more

The Magic Castle is the headquarters of magicians in the US. Its in a crazy gothic style castle in Hollywood, complete with moving bookcases, pianos that play themselves, and some great magic shows. The Magic Castle itself is absolutely fantastic, the building is spectacular, the magicians amazing, the decor fascintaing, BUT the food is overpriced and not very nice! I'd... more
