Let me just say, we almost didn't go because we were being lazy. So glad we DID go! The Castle is an experience I will never forget. Absolutely loved it. We had planned on just going here for drinks and then heading somewhere else but we ended up staying for about 5 hours. As soon as you walk in the... More

This place has got to be the best value for your entertainment dollar in all of LA. The restaurant isn't cheap, but it isn't too expensive either, and the food is great! You also get 3 magic shows for your $20 entrance fee. The magic shows are always entertaining. One of my favourite nights out when I visit LA.

Went here for a boy scout outing, some of the magic is good, some hokey. Very old decor, has seen better days but had always wanted to go. Buffet lunch was OK

First the place is in a mansion converted into a Restaurant, Bar, Theater, and Museum for the greatest of Magic performances. There is a strict dress code but that adds to the whole experience. The food we had was excellent. Our host at dinner was really nice and funny. He gave us historical facts about the room we were eating... More

We went with an organized bus tour for a Saturday brunch and magic shows. The entire experience felt kind of rushed, chaotic and underwhelming, but I'm glad I can say I've been there. A must-do for magic fans. PROS: ~A unique 'LA' experience. ~If you've never seen magic shows, you'll probably be amazed! ~The main magic show was EXCELLENT but... More

We were introduced to the Magic Castle by a friend and amateur magician who is a member. It is set in a lovely old mansion built in the early 1900s that has been preserved and turned into a semi-private club for magicians and their friends. There are 3 separate bars, a great restaurant, several small auditoriums for different styles of... More

Wow! No budding magicians in our family and not a lot of time in LA, so we were a little undecided about giving up a day at Disneyland to go to The Magic Castle, and are so glad we did. Entralling and truly intimate and entertaining shows, a wonderful buffet brunch and an amazing place. It is possibly one of... More

The Magic Castle is the private clubhouse for the Academy of Magical Arts and currently boasts over 5,000 of the world's greatest magicians and performers as members. As soon as I first learned about this exclusive club, I set out trying to score a guest pass from a member (you can read more about how I did that and our... More

Even though I'm not a huge fan of magic, or the cheesiness that entails with the slip of the hand, abracadabra type entertainment, this place is fun and should be visited at least once. - First off, adults only, and there is a formal dress code. Coat and tie, Dresses or formal pant suit. Its outlined on their web site,... More

If you enjoy magic, in particular near field Magic, this is a very fun evening. Food is buffet style and fine. Originally, I went with a Member but you can make reservations and go as couple, small group or family. I believe they are also booking group events there now. It's worth a visit and a unique, Hollywood experience. Have... More
