Great facilities - generous and exceptionally comfortable seating, excellent projection, sound, ambience - but very high ticket prices to match, with only token discounts for "off-peak" performances, seniors, etc. (only $1.00 off a full-price $17.00 adult ticket for those over 60 - good grief!). Drilling down further into the pricing structure reveals discrimination against infants, whose tickets are priced the... More

Choose your seat when you purchase your ticket so no having to jostle for a seat. Grab a cocktail at the bar, along with some surprisingly good appetizers, and take them in with you. Only wish there was a pop up table with your chair for easier snacking.

Saw my first Los Angeles movie here, and staff was helpful and available, seating and screens were great, but the popcorn was a little stale. Overall a very good experience and will return often!

This is where we usually catch films, locals in Hollywood. Yes, it costs a bit more, but parking is easy (huge structure right next to theater, you always have to go 3-4 floors up, but close elevator in the structure drops you 30 seconds from the theater. They have a great big lobby, and are showing something like 16 films... More

OK they came out of the box badly in my first review, but we always hope things can get better, right? Reserved seating: the idea is beginning to take hold but there are still a few bumps: so we tried to reserve on line (seats that are sold are noted in the auditorium chart) and when I went to checkout,... I love this movie theatre. Its always a great movie experience... from the time you step into the lot to going inside the theatre. You will probably see a few celebs now and then hitting up a movie here. Reserved seating is great.. pre ordering is even better. Concession is pretty good. There are restaurants very close by also before... More

You can order your tickets online and select your seats in advance. So you don't have to rush there in advance to grab good seats. The only bad is there is always a long line at the concession stand so you need to allow 10-15 minutes extra before the movie.

I come from a world in which going to a movie meant double-features, a cartoon or two and even a short subject; when new releases or special engagements occurred at grand movie palaces with velvet curtains, large screens, balconies and uniformed ushers. You got a glossy program and music from the film was played during Intermission. I’ve shown my age.... More

Staying in Hollywood

Neighborhood Profile
Hollywood undoubtedly conjures up images of movie stars and high-end lifestyles, and to this day, tourists flock here from around the world to see the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame, Chinese Theatre and to catch a glimpse of the famed Hollywood sign up close. Celebrity impersonators and crowds give these areas the feeling of an amusement park while many clubs and hotels fill up around the weekends for late-night partying - the Hollywood club scene is a haven for thumping music and table-side bottle service. But parties aren’t the only way to enjoy this area, many visitors come to the neighborhood to sit back with a picnic to watch a performance at the Hollywood Bowl and those looking to stay fit trek along nature trails in the Hollywood hills and in Griffith Park.
