In an acting class I once attended, something that really stuck with me, is how to tell a story in an audition, You have to start with the story itself, work it's way to the ARC of it and then have an ending. To me this is how any great story telling goes without saying, a great film as well!... More

I absolutely love this theater. I have been a member for 2 years now. Christmas Eve before last, I was not having the best holiday season, being away from my friends and family and to cheer myself up, decided to go see what was playing at the ArcLight Hollywood. I had just gotten my ArcLight membership and hadn't really used... More

Great popcorn and we like that you can choose your seat! The cost is a drawback. Somewhat pricey for a datenight but its still nice.

This chain is stupid and arrogant. Their claim to fame is the ability to buy and reserve seating on line. But the tickets don't show what auditorium the film is in, the seating numbering is illogical and they put a free ticket voucher in our local paper but when I called....1. They don't put the auditorium because sometimes they have... More

Nice, big, comfortable seats! With a membership, you get free upgrade to large size popcorn. $3 parking with validation and the Hollywood location has Stella Barra and other great restaurants nearby, like Umami Burger. Many perks, the best films and special film series' year round that are wonderful -all at #ARCLIGHTHOLLYWOOD!

These arc light cinemas are found all over Los Angeles, and they are all brilliant. Very quiet, it's always easy to get a seat, and you always feel like you are the only one there, you feel like you have it all to yourself. The staff introduce the movie, which is a nice touch. Well done, it's a hit.

It's not cheap but seats are reserved and you can show up just before the movie begins and be assured of a decent seat. Plenty of parking, a gift shop and even a restaurant with limited menu but you can do everything at the Arclight. There are also restaurants and cafes in the neighborhood so park your car, see the... There were only four of us in the theatre for a 4:30 matinée showing of a recent mall cop comedy. Of course, that will influence the review. Otherwise, comfortable seats, good views, good sound, and all that you'd expect from a well run theatre.

Picture and sound are excellent. All seats reserved and because of higher prices audiences are respectful.

We saw Ex Machina and did not realize this was one of those nights when the film's director stays after the film and talks about his picture. I've never chosen to do this but it was really fantastic--its a uniquely LA experience (being such a studio town) so the audience was engaged and informed with their questions and it was... More

Staying in Hollywood

Neighborhood Profile
Hollywood
Hollywood undoubtedly conjures up images of movie stars and high-end lifestyles, and to this day, tourists flock here from around the world to see the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame, Chinese Theatre and to catch a glimpse of the famed Hollywood sign up close. Celebrity impersonators and crowds give these areas the feeling of an amusement park while many clubs and hotels fill up around the weekends for late-night partying - the Hollywood club scene is a haven for thumping music and table-side bottle service. But parties aren’t the only way to enjoy this area, many visitors come to the neighborhood to sit back with a picnic to watch a performance at the Hollywood Bowl and those looking to stay fit trek along nature trails in the Hollywood hills and in Griffith Park.
