Situated at the intersection of Hollywood and Highland, the namesake shopping mall is an attractive place to wonder around. It has a range of high end and moderate priced shops (Louis Vuitton, Guess, American Outfitters, L'Occitane, Sephora to name a few). The Dolby Theater where they hold the Academy Awards is inside here. It is situated right next to the... More

I've been to the Hollywood and Highland shopping complex several times but most recently visited for an event being held there. The facilities are undoubtedly aimed at tourists but it has a lot of useful shops and restaurants, with nice views of both the famous Hollywood sign and Griffith observatory and easy access to the historical Chinese Theater. The best... More

We had the shops on our doorstep when we stayed at the Loews. What a lovely shopping centre. It was clean and had a wide range of shops and eating places as well as the cinema. All the shop tenders were friendly and accomodating.

I love this place. Its a great place to hang out just blocks from my hotel. Wolfgang Puck has a restaurant there, VER I thinks its called, (don't eat the bar nuts) you can do dinner and a movie at World famous Gruman's Chinese Theater or catch a show at the Kodak Theater. Shopping is awesome from high end to... More

Absolutely a popular tourist attraction because it is right next to Chinese Theater, Star Walk of Fame, Madame Tussauds, El Capitan Theater, etc. Many retail stores (high-end too) and restaurants. Right next to California Pizza Kitchen, you can take picture with "Hollywood" sign at the background. During summer time, there are FREE Jazz live band on Tuesday evenings. They provide... More

We had family from New York visiting and they wanted to see Hollywood. Since much of the street scape of Hollywood is kind of seeding, taking them to the Hollywood and Highland complex allowed them to experience Hollywood without the negatives of tour salesman, cartoon characters begging for money, etc. There are many restaurants and shops here; a great view... Just another shopping mall with the usual chain shops, coffee shops and a few places to eat be it Italian, Japanese, American or snacks. The purpose of visiting here is to go to second floor and have a photo taken with the Hollywood sign in background. A must do!

Staying in Hollywood

Neighborhood Profile
Hollywood undoubtedly conjures up images of movie stars and high-end lifestyles, and to this day, tourists flock here from around the world to see the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame, Chinese Theatre and to catch a glimpse of the famed Hollywood sign up close. Celebrity impersonators and crowds give these areas the feeling of an amusement park while many clubs and hotels fill up around the weekends for late-night partying - the Hollywood club scene is a haven for thumping music and table-side bottle service. But parties aren’t the only way to enjoy this area, many visitors come to the neighborhood to sit back with a picnic to watch a performance at the Hollywood Bowl and those looking to stay fit trek along nature trails in the Hollywood hills and in Griffith Park.
