Here's the way to see the Farmers Market and beat the parking game. Pull up in front of Maggiano's Restaurant across the street and let the valet take your car. The flat fee is $8.00 - cheapest parking in Los Angeles! Then stroll over to the landmark sign and then start exploring. In spite of a number of visits here,... More

One hour visit on LA tour, great cheap food, cold beer, shaded seating and some small shops to wander through, we also went to American girl which was feat and interesting.

We stopped at the Farmers Market after our visit to the La Brea Tar Pits; it is a nice hike north, but very walkable. Although in its original form it was more of a "growers' (farmers') market," it currently has many shops and interesting and unique food offerings. We enjoyed looking and "grazing" our way through many food stalls as... More

We stopped at the Farmers Market while on a tour of LA. It's not really a farmers market, but it has lots of shops and a really nice food court. There is also a shopping area called the Grove that is next to it and has a lot of really nice stores. Although we were only here about an hour,... More

The Original Farmers Market at 3rd and Fairfax in LA is not really a growers market that you see throughout the US. There are some stalls with fruit and veg, a couple of butchers, and a variety of chocolate shops, and pastries, however, the stars of this show the are numerous food stalls from Jewish to Spanish to Malay, to... Whatever you're looking to eat, you'll likely find it here in this enormous food court/market. The shopping is touristy, but the food is the reason to go. Got people in a group who want different things to eat? This is your place. Parking validation available if you park in the farmers market lot, but not for The Grove lot.

The Farmer's Market is a staple of every trip we make to the LA area. The variety of fresh food to eat as well as meats, pastries, breads, and fruits is amazing. If you get lucky you may even see a movie star moseying through the market. I highly recommend the crepes from the crepe shop (my wife like the... More

There are many different things related to gastronomy, specially homemade toffee and fresh fishes/meat. There is also a food court but can be crowded. Take your time to spend your time there.

Although the place called Farmers' Market due to it's origin, today it is mainly a semi-open air foodcourt with an interesting mix of shops and a touch of actual farmers' market. The best thing about this place is definetely the restaurants - a great mix of different cuisines and pricelevels. A few recommended ones: Bob's Coffee and doughnuts ( a... More
