The new old meet the new-so to speak. This market was est 1934 and still standing. There have been new buildings added, modernisation everywhere but there is still this sense of the old world. Maybe its the clock tower that sits at the entrance? They had their xmas decos up already and theres a tram that takes you around the markets... More

We stopped here for lunch (one of the stops on the starlight hop on hop off bus). Good range of food - seemed to be plenty of tables available to sit and eat. We also bought some fresh fruit - nice to try varieties that we don't readily get in Australia. The Grove next door interesting (if not seemingly artificial).... More

The restaurants in the farmers market are ok ... Very pricey ... They shut at 8pm and some closed before which was a little disappointing... Was looking forward to a nice bowl of clam chowder... The fish and chips are good but expensive

Always crowded but worth going to. The upscale mall Grove is across the parking lot along with some new restaurants. We prefer to eat in the market at any one of the many original food stands. I had a pastrami on my most recent visit and It just melted in my mouth...what an awesome sandwich! You can park in 2... More

So many great food options! Nice to wander round and visit an area that has stood the test of time. We had a meatloaf Po Boy and the charcoal chicken at the Gumbo Pot (big and delicious) and also boureka's from the Village, both within the market. A visit here is perfect to combine with some shopping next door at... More

It's kinda cool if you're in the area but...Not worth traveling for/not worth taking outa town family/friends. Permanent farmers market with some way fun food stands. Best part is the cool foods stands. The grove mall is next door. Heinous parking and traffic on weekends.

Yummy treats, a variety of cuisines, souvenirs and t-shirts, fresh produce, a gourmet grocery, even a barbershop! Every self-respecting big city has a farmer's market, and this one is excellent. Don't pass up the opportunity!

Fun environment and a lot of food choices. We went in November so it was more of giant food court but everything was delicious and there was a wide variety of cuisine. However, meats, produce and cheeses were all available to take home along with treats and little gift and clothing booths. It's close to some other attractions so it... More

Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful. It's a combination of a regular farmer's market, fresh food, a food court filled with a variety of cuisine, fun little shops and touristy shops. It's fun and lively and ... just wonderful.
