Omg! This farmers market is amazing! It's filled with lots and lots of food from different cultures and the souveniers shops contains lots of great finds, and the candy shops are the best things in this shop, there is not single candy you can't find, especially candy from your childhood, we took a tour in the grove and continued to... The Original Farmer's Market at the corner of 3rd & Fairfax in Los Angeles is a must-stop for any visitor to the area. It's adjacent to The Grove, just a few blocks from the Los Angeles County Art Museum and Petersen Auto Museum, and is a stop along the Starline's and other tour bus stops. If you're looking for a... We visited the Farmers Market and the Grove on our first full day in Los Angeles and were seriously impressed. It is a really lovely place to chill out and have a good mooch around with lots going on. We had a good wander around the shops and bought some really good fresh fruit and fruit juices. A really good... More

Came here while visiting the grove. Lots of food, both cooked and raw meat to take home and cook if you're a local. A little crowded, but you should at least go to smell all the different kinds of food. Everything I tried was absolutely delicious!

Being from the Philadelphia area, I can truly say nothing compares to the Reading Terminal Market but The Original Farmers Market was a great experience. I'm not sure I would try to do any real grocery shopping but I could definitely nice meal. The Market has a nice variety of restaurants/food stalls to chose from with very reasonable prices with... Despite the many choices in the Original Farmers Market, ended up eating at Du-pars, and it was really a perfect choice. Du-pars claimed to have the best pancake in America! I could not judge as I did not take it. But my chicken pie was delicious. Nothing fancy but freshly baked, I enjoyed this type of no frilled mama's dishes.... More

Pleasant experience. Lots of good food places. Shopping was kitschy. I parked across the street in large area in front of whole foods. Thought it was nice there was a guard watching out for our cars. Came back to find my car was towed!!!! The same guard said I should have read the sign. Had to take $15 cab ride... More

The farmers market was hands down one of my favourite places to visit in LA. I went to LA for a trip in April 2013 and ended up going to the market 3 times during my stay. There are endless food choices there, including Mexican, Chinese, Bakeries, French, Seafood etc. There are lots of tables (some covered, others with umbrellas),... More

Make sure you take a few laps around the market before you choose what to eat because there are so many choices from BBQ to Southern Food to Thai and everything in between. Also, if you visit EB's beer and wine and see the Farmers Market Orange Wheat on tap- its not a micro brew (like I thought, and got... More
