This place used to be hot, and therefore, pretentious, now it's just pretentious. We went for a drink early, so we didn't see the party scene, it didn't start yet but the service is nonexistent, we waited what seemed like forever for a waitress to show up, she informed us that "The table is reserved and the SECOND the party... The Mondrian is one of LA's coolest hotels and Sky Bar doesn't disappoint... laze around the pool while taking in the sparking lights of LA. The staff and friendly and accommodating and the cocktails are lethal. Great for people watching and even a little star spotting - get there early if you want to get in.

We visited the Sky Bar on our recent trip to LA, the service is really good and our waitress was pleasant and welcoming. We had a poolside / window seat with fantastic views over LA. It's is a trendy place, so make sure you book as it gets busy. Only down side is its a little pricey - but with... More

I've been to this multiple times. It's got a lovely bar area around the pool. The nights here are always loud. The drinks are a tad expensive but this place is a lot of fun.

I guess it is all about people spreading the word that it is a must see. Well they have a nice view. however, it is a pool side place very small. for me as an outside not at the hotel it was deception. small spaces to sit. they started tidying and arranging as we were trying to sit. every place... Visited the sky bar a few times over my stay at the Mondrian. We were met with smiles and good service. Unfortunately the drinks were very overpriced, we ordered juices at the pool and were told they were freshly made by one waitress, then another told us that they were actually only juiced every few days, after we finally got... I've been here a few times for events over the years and truly, I don't understand the hype. The beer selection is minimal, I think one of the bars has a few additional options, but it's still limited. Since it is a hotel bar, it's pricey. The bathrooms are small so expect to wait if the bar is packed. The... More

If you like cheap po*rn, this is the place to go to. I stayed at this hotel with my husband while on a business trip. The bar Sky bar outside is more like a porn movie where employees serve drinks and food half-naked with their breasts and all body parts spilling out, pretty much selling their bodies to get a... Staying in West Hollywood

Neighborhood Profile
West Hollywood
For years, West Hollywood has been known as a hub for the LGBT communities in Los Angeles. Today it still maintains the title, but has also become the “it” neighborhood for the entertainment industry’s up-and-comers. Producers, directors, writers and aspiring actors call this area home. Known for great boutique shopping, vintage clothing stores, home décor shops and fitness studios, West Hollywood is a grid of wide boulevards and narrow residential streets. The neighborhood also has a concentration of the most avant-garde restaurants in Los Angeles (rivaled only by the burgeoning restaurant scene Downtown). A trip to the iconic Sunset Strip, with its many clubs, music venues, hotels and flashing lights won’t be forgotten.
