Great improv shows. I’d suggest the Facebook show, very fun. Reserve in advance! You'll still have to stand in line but you'll get in. I've also been to some of the panel ones, they are good too. This is a breeding ground for comedy actors and a fun thing to see in LA. In the little “Franklin Village” on Franklin... More

We went as a group and really enjoyed ourselves! The theater is super, super small but it lends a great ambiance. We saw the Guilty Pleasures show and although the crowd through out some pretty weak guilty pleasures, the crew took it to some pretty unexpected and hilarious places (sorting people's books ended up as selling artisanal pornography, amazing). They're... More

My 16-year-old daughter and I went to see Asscat during a visit to LA.. I chose UCB as I love improv and because the club has no alcohol licence my daughter - a keen actor - was able to get in. It doesn't mean the material is bland or particularly kid-friendly but it was perfectly fine for my daughter -... More

Went to see Facebook at UCB in July and was probably the highlight of our trip to LA. Very intimate stage and hilarious improv actors. The crowd is also great - very local and not touristy at all, so a great choice if you want to do something that doesn't have out-of-towners all over the place. I'd recommend to get... More

If you're into comedy and in Los Angeles, this place is a legendary must-see. Very small, intimate and sells out quickly. Very major talent brewing here as well as the best popular names in comedy.

This is my favorite comedy theater in LA. They don't do comedy store style tables with minimums. Instead its small, dark, and dive-y with theater style seating. Its also BYOB. Assscat & the Facebook shows are my favorite. I also go to the Doug Loves Movies podcast recording here with comedian Doug Benson. He always has awesome guests. Famous comedians... More

Went to the ASSSCATS show on a Sat. night. It was great! Tickets were not very expensive, I think around $10. The players did a great job. Very funny, very entertaining. Get there early, and get in line, as seating is general admission. They do a great job of getting everyone seated. We got to sit in the front row.... More

First night in LA (August 2013) and the $10 improv comedy was able to help me get through my jet lag. Very high quality humor and walking distance from Hollywood.

I've been going to shows at the UCB for years. There are some off the wall shows and people still honing their skills during the week, but if you go to any of the hugely popular shows, you'll be amazed at how skilled and hilarious the improvisers are. The AS--CAT show on Saturday nights is great -- often the founding... More

We watched ASSSSCAT and it was awesome! I have seen a few improv shows in the past, but these players were really funny. I recommend getting there early and sitting in the center for a better view of the players. My biggest gripes: It was uncomfortably hot and they don't serve alcohol.
