We took the LA in a day trip and loved it. We were the only two on our trip and had a great private tour. J.S. Was an awesome guide with a great sense of humour and very friendly. Don't be afraid of the hills, the guides are cheerful and willing to go at your pace. Don't forget your sunscreen... More

I did the LA in a Day ride and was lucky enough to be the only person on the tour. I had Brian as my guide and cannot say enough good things about him. He was both informative and considerate of how I was handling the hills and enjoying myself. This was my first time in LA and I don't... More

We loved our hike led by Jay S. What I expected was a fun hike through the hills with our guide pointing out the sights. Jay S did that and so much more! He is a historian and gave us an almost 3 hour overview of the history of Los Angeles. We had Russell with us for part of the... More

Mother / Daughter vacation and this activity was the highlight of our trip! We learned so much and enjoyed the challenge... Those Beverly Hills were nothing to scoff at! Brian, our tour guide was simply the best! Not only was he a super nice guy, but he was also very knowledgeable. We learned so much from him. Some of it... More

We had a four hour private tour for four people at 9am to accomodate our jetlag somewhat, this worked out very well. It was pricey, but tour guide Eric was outstanding and also the bicycles where quite new with hard tyres and functioned very well. They also provided us with drinking water, sunscreen and an energy bar during the tour.... More

The Hollywood Hills sunset hike is a really great way to spend the afternoon in LA. Erik ( from Bikes and HIkes LA ) was the absolute best guide anyone can ask for. He kept us entertained the entire afternoon with great stories about the area as well as having brought extra water and snacks for the group. The hike... More

My boyfriend and I did the LA In A Day Tour. It was great! Even got to encounter Bruce Jenner along the way (randomly). We had Nate as our guide and he was awesome! There were some uphill segments but nothing that we couldn't manage. The history was pretty cool to hear. The sandwich shop they chose for lunch was... More

I did the hike in late June with JS, who is very knowledgeable about the history and landmarks of LA. He kept a good pace for all of us so the hike was pretty easy to complete. We took beautiful photos of LA and of the Hollywood sign. One of the highlights is the visit to the Griffith Observatory. If... More

Staying in West Hollywood

Neighborhood Profile
West Hollywood
For years, West Hollywood has been known as a hub for the LGBT communities in Los Angeles. Today it still maintains the title, but has also become the “it” neighborhood for the entertainment industry’s up-and-comers. Producers, directors, writers and aspiring actors call this area home. Known for great boutique shopping, vintage clothing stores, home décor shops and fitness studios, West Hollywood is a grid of wide boulevards and narrow residential streets. The neighborhood also has a concentration of the most avant-garde restaurants in Los Angeles (rivaled only by the burgeoning restaurant scene Downtown). A trip to the iconic Sunset Strip, with its many clubs, music venues, hotels and flashing lights won’t be forgotten.
