Good tour. We were only in LA for 2 days and wanted to get a chance to see the sites. We took the 5-1/2 he A1 tour. It was a long day and the terrible traffic added about an hour to the trip. The sites were ok. Could have skipped downtown LA (not interested in knowing where the courthouse and... More

John was a great tour guide! He showed us so many little hidden gems in Hollywood and knew the area very well! My family of 4 went including children ages 17 ad 14 and they enjoyed it as well. We did the A1 tour which is 5 1/2 hours, which was enough. There were 5 'stops' including Venice Beach, Beverly... More

our tour guide, Cesar was funny, informative and extremely helpful. Going beyond the usual requirements Cesar knows everything there is to know about LA. He has been here his entire life and that experience shows. LA traffic? Don't stress, he know back routes, and he also knows everything about that back route too! Money well spent, tip well earned. I'd... More

Started the tour on a half filled bus then l guess management decided they could make more money combining us with another tour & freeing up our original bus for another. We ended up on a bus that was full & very uncomfortable air conditioning was terrible. The tour was just ok lm sure there is better tour companies in... More

Street vendors sell tickets and you can haggle for pricing which is fine. Vehicle not as flash as competitors but you pay accordingly. Driver was sensitive to the residents which was nice to see because after all, it us an invasion on their personal space and went out of his way to ensure you had a good experience at the... More

The tour is of five hours duration. They take you through all the major attractions in the LA city including Venice, Downtown, Santa Monica, Hollywood Sign, Rodeo Drive, etc. The tour is good if you just want to know which all places to visit during your stay. Don't expect too much from it. The guide had knowledge about the place... More

I picked this tour with a bit of trepidation-- the sales pitches are ruthless along Hollywood Boulevard. They did an excellent job during the two hour drive. We had a very knowledgeable guide and felt we saw quite a few celebrity houses. I would encourage you to negotiate the price. They are quite flexible... ;-)

We only had one afternoon to see some sites on this trip. The tour picked us up at our hotel and drove us to their office on Hollywood Blvd. It was an open air tour vehicle and that would be a good option when the weather is warmer. Our tour was at 4 p.m. and we found it quite chilly.... More

Staying in Hollywood

Neighborhood Profile
Hollywood
Hollywood undoubtedly conjures up images of movie stars and high-end lifestyles, and to this day, tourists flock here from around the world to see the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame, Chinese Theatre and to catch a glimpse of the famed Hollywood sign up close. Celebrity impersonators and crowds give these areas the feeling of an amusement park while many clubs and hotels fill up around the weekends for late-night partying - the Hollywood club scene is a haven for thumping music and table-side bottle service. But parties aren’t the only way to enjoy this area, many visitors come to the neighborhood to sit back with a picnic to watch a performance at the Hollywood Bowl and those looking to stay fit trek along nature trails in the Hollywood hills and in Griffith Park.
