I was fortunate to have a solo tour with Laura of the Silverlake mid century houses which I would never have found on my own. We even lucked out and managed to get an inside peek of one of Neutra's houses which was being inspected for sale that day. Laura's insider knowledge and ability to get me up close to... More

We contacted Laura and mentioned that we were interested in mid-century modern architecture. She suggested her tour of the Silver Lake area. This was the perfect tour for us and we thoroughly enjoyed it. We saw houses that we would have never found on our own. Laura's knowledge of the architects and architecture of this period was very impressive. Driving... More

I thoroughly enjoyed my tour with Laura through the downtown area. We kicked off with a biggie: The Walt Disney Centre ... but each and every building selected, had a good tale to tell. We covered, with ease, an enormous number of buildings and neighbourhoods and history too! Laura kindly dropped me off at the tour's end at Grand Central... More

Laura has shown me parts of Los Angeles that I never knew of or appreciated when I lived there in the 1980s. She seems to know every street, alley, house and historic building. Her knowledge of the city's architecture is extremely impressive. But, as a longtime L.A. resident, her knowledge does not stop there. She knows everything about this city... More

Laura was a gracious host and showed us parts of the downtown area that we would not have seen. With a background in Architectual History she made the downtown area come alive. When we go back we will be contacting her for further tours that she offers

We took Laura's Silverlake tour, and it was absolutely wonderful! The sites on the tour were very interesting, obviously carefully selected. The commentary was well thought out and presented clearly........ And it was FUN, never stuffy or dull. Laura is an absolute gem, and her tours are not to be missed! I tell everyone I know who will be visiting... More

Our Architectural Tours LA tour was a highlight for me of our visit to LA. I really had no idea how much great architecture was in LA beforehand and Laura knew and shared so much interesting information with us. She is an architectural historian who loves to share her knowledge. Next time we visit LA we will take another one... More

My husband and I are fans of Frank Lloyd Wright and Mic-century modern architecture so the Silver Lake tour was perfect for us. Our guide, Laura, was an architectural historian who was extremely knowledgeable. The highlights for us were the group of homes designed by Richard Neutra and Frank Lloyd Wright's Innes House. The tour was conducted in a very... More

This was the second tour I have taken with Laura and Architecture Tours LA. My first one was the Hollywood Tour in which we saw several Frank Lloyd Wright sites. That great experience whet my appetite for more and so I took the special Frank Lloyd Wright Tour. Laura did not disappoint! She is amazingly knowledgable about his arichitecture as... More
