We did this tour with Richard on the second day of our LA stay in April. Firstly be mindful on this tour if you are squeamish or easily offended.....you get a folder that accompanies the narration as you drive which includes actual photos of bodies!! You go through crime scenes of Los Angeles with excellent pointers and soundbites from some... More

If you have an interest in the darker side of Hollywood, this is the tour for you! Our guide (alas, I can't remember his name) took us to the locations of many of the sites where murders, suicides, accidental deaths and other unfortunate events occurred. He gave excellent narration and provided a binder with pictures of the people involved in... More

I've always been interested in the dark side of history - and I'm a big fan of the true crime and horror genres of literature, tv and film - so, this particular tour is something that I've been hearing about (and enjoying through E!'s programming and Dearly Departed Tours Vol. 1) for a long time. When I found out that... More

Having done the standard "Home of the Stars" / Open Top Bus type tours on our last visit to LA, we wanted to do a tour which was slightly different to the norm. We chanced upon the Dearly Departed tours flyer at the Hollywood Tourist Information booth, and decided to give it a go. Good decision - this tour was... More

A friend and I took this tour. I'm 64 and she's 28. We are from Los Angeles so this was something fun to do as "tourists" in our own city. The tour van was clean and comfortable. Our guide was very good. He spoke fast to get as much information to us as possible as we passed various sites. We... More

Not your ordinary tour, but WOW! I don't normally seek out the macabre, but my fiancee' booked us a tour for my birthday and I was excited to go. The mini-museum in the store front is packed with some of the darkest memorabilia that I recommend that you arrive early to have enough time to go through it all. The... More

This was a great tour, and gave us such a personal view of Hollywood and its past. This is not the usual tour, and the office is lowkey, but we really enjoyed this trip more than any other tour or attraction in Hollywood last summer. The guide, Scott, grew up in Pennsylvania but always knew in his heart that in... More

If you are looking for something a little out of the box and unexpected, take this tour and be surprised! I've done this tour 2 times in the past 4 years. What a wealth of knowledge and history of Hollywood these guys have. This was the most interesting tour I've ever taken. Highly recommend if you are visiting Hollywood!!

I've taken the tour twice, I love LA so the first time was about 2 1/2 years ago when they didn't have there store location we met at the bookstore. What was so cool about that time was we got to experience one of the passengers surprise visit from her dad at one of the stops, it was cool she... More
