This tour provides you with a unique perspective on the history of Hollywood. Some of the stories we knew but there were a lot we didn't, or didn't know as much about as we thought. All I can say is do this tour, you won't regret it. You will learn a lot of things that most tours don't touch on... More

This tour was very interesting. You will definitely get your money's worth since it is 3 hours long. There is a bathroom stop at the Farmers' Market in the Fairfax District, so that is good. You will learn a lot about Hollywood's dark side here. The tour takes you to actual crime scenes and is supplemented with a constant narrative... More

This was the best tour we went on, I laughed throughout the tour. Our guide, Brian Donnelly was so knowledgeable, interesting if not slightly mad......I also love his film/music taste. My best friend bought me this for our 'girls' day whilst the boys looked at cars (yawn)....I would not only recommend it but go on it again. Thanks for a... More

If you are thinking about taking this tour, stop thinking about it and do it! It is just that good. We had Brian as our tour guide and I have never met a more engaging, energetic, hilarious tour guide in my life. He was amazing! He really knew his stuff and included all of us on the bus in the... We did the Helter Skelter tour because we wanted to see the spots where all of this stuff went down. Our tour was almost a week ago, and frankly, that's been pretty much all we've talked about since then. The tour is 3+ hours of all things Manson. Company founder Scott was our guide and he did a great job... More

I met the owner Scott through his website and I can tell you he has a passion for the history and drama of Hollywood. Scott has been featured as an expert on many TV shows and he truly is becoming the go to guy for history and scandal in LA. That's what is great about touring around with him and... More

Did the tour with Scott the owner, it was very entertaining (although 18year old daughter fell asleep during tour) Glad they had an air conditioned minivan as it was BOILING outside. The little store has some interesting memorabilia, dont know if its ALL authentic, but its a bit of fun. Would recommend doing one of their tours, but probably not... More

We loved this tour. I was looking for a tour that would give me an idea on the history of Los Angeles not just the present day goings on of current celebrities. Well this tour did not disappoint. It was fabulous. We saw things like places Marilyn Monroe has lived, where she first dyed her hair to become the blonde... More

With a name like Dearly Departed Tours one can expect an offbeat experience and this did not disappoint. I would not recommend it for very young children. Our guide was very energetic and truly seemed to enjoy his job.

Pros: - On arrival, Scott was a pleasure to speak to and a very welcoming host. The small museum of curiosities is great and Scott was very helpful in explaining the items and answering questions - The tour is along the style of Hollywood Babylon (sex/death/trashy) - definitely a fun way of discovering LA's slightly darker side but with a...
