Our Dearly Departed tour was arranged by our friend. We arrived at the Dearly Departed tour office with 13 friends on a Sat. Afternoon. The office had memorabilia from many different Tragic Hollywood stories. We git there about an hour early.

There was five of us on the tour and everyone thoroughly enjoyed it. Our tour guide Brian was an exceptional fellow, full of accurate information and good humour. The tour flows along well and is good value, a full 3 and 1/2 hours. We were visiting from Canada and all had a great time on the tour. Would highly recommend... More

This is our 4th tour in the last 3 years with DDT. Fantastic once again. We love the humor as well as the history of Hollywood that you won't get on any other tour. The Tragical History tour is by far the best! Love that they stop at Westwood Memorial now. You can get what the other tour companies offer... More

I've recently completed a two week vacation in Los Angeles, travelling from Scotland, and this was my 3rd Visit to the City. It has taken me 3 trips to find the best tour available. The 4 hour tour (don't believe the 3 hour time scale on the leaflet folks, you get an extra hour for your money!) was an absolute... More

This was by far the best tour that we've ever been on. EVER. First, I do not really care to leave reviews that often but this company more than deserves it. The owner (Scott) is very proud of the accuracy and flow of his tour, and it definitely shows. The tour is super informative, educational, and historical while being non-stop... More

Our tour guide Brian was awesome. We went on the Dearly Departed tour with a group of Friends and thoroughly enjoyed the 3 hour tour. Brian drove our tour bus to different locations of famous celebrity's either murders, suicides or deaths. This may sound a bit morbid but Brian handled each story with great care. The highlight of the tour... More

My wife and I did this tour on the 8th of January. This tour is by far the best tour while you are in LA even locals rave over it. Brian our guide should be called wikipedia as his knowledge of the area is second to none and his talk while doing the tour is a delight to listen to... More

Skip all the other tours and give Scott and his guys an opportunity to entertain you. I was so impressed with the knowledge in Scott's head about the "tragic side of Hollywood", as well as anything else you were curious about. My family and I enjoyed this tour more than anything else we did. If you're on the fence about... More

I absolutely loved Dearly Departed Tours. We took the Helter Skelter tour, which I believe runs every Saturday morning. Having read up on the Manson case, I found the whole thing fascinating. From the moment you step into the office, which is like a mini-museum of grim artefacts, you're transported into that somehow familiar dark side of Hollywood. The tragedies... More

My son and I did this tour in Nov 14 and really enjoyed it, sit back, relax and look and listen. Great history and in bus recordings of actual interviews with various notorious killers, also with a folder to view some of the characters (warning a very graphic pic) of the poor " Black Dahlia" which was a nickname given... Staying in Hollywood

Neighborhood Profile
Hollywood
Hollywood undoubtedly conjures up images of movie stars and high-end lifestyles, and to this day, tourists flock here from around the world to see the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame, Chinese Theatre and to catch a glimpse of the famed Hollywood sign up close. Celebrity impersonators and crowds give these areas the feeling of an amusement park while many clubs and hotels fill up around the weekends for late-night partying - the Hollywood club scene is a haven for thumping music and table-side bottle service. But parties aren’t the only way to enjoy this area, many visitors come to the neighborhood to sit back with a picnic to watch a performance at the Hollywood Bowl and those looking to stay fit trek along nature trails in the Hollywood hills and in Griffith Park.
