If you visit Hollywood - do yourself a favor and book the helter skelter tour with Scott Micheals! I traveled from San Fran to LA in a week and did tours non-stop but none equaled the personal attention and excitement and knowledge base than Scott! We actually traveled the exact route the Manson Killers took that fateful week in the... More

A friend of mine and myself had to find a tour to try when we were out in LA. We came across this one thinking we'd get some basic info on some stars that passed. Brian, our tour guide definitely knows his stuff! We had a blast on this tour, he had us laughing all the time. You'll be driving... More

Brian our tour guide was amazing. Had lots of inside info....he's very well researched. Scott also had some brilliant insights into the under belly of LA. Don't miss this tour even if you only have 1 day like us.

Wow, this was a great tour! Guide Brian was so much fun and full of information on various deaths in Hollywood. The tour stopped at various places and going around the cemetery to see graves of famous people was really interesting. This tour is well worth the money and time of 2 and a half hours. I learned so much... More

I took Dearly Departed's Hollywood Tragical History Tour on Thursday, April 2nd 2015. A noon tour that lasted close to 3hrs. Per the advice of DDT I did park in the church parking lot located next door, the entrance off of Selma Ave. It was maybe 6 or 7 dollars to park. I arrived early, so I took a short... More

Our Dearly Departed tour was arranged by our friend. We arrived at the Dearly Departed tour office with 13 friends on a Sat. Afternoon. The office had memorabilia from many different Tragic Hollywood stories. We git there about an hour early.

There was five of us on the tour and everyone thoroughly enjoyed it. Our tour guide Brian was an exceptional fellow, full of accurate information and good humour. The tour flows along well and is good value, a full 3 and 1/2 hours. We were visiting from Canada and all had a great time on the tour. Would highly recommend... More

Staying in Hollywood

Neighborhood Profile
Hollywood
Hollywood undoubtedly conjures up images of movie stars and high-end lifestyles, and to this day, tourists flock here from around the world to see the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame, Chinese Theatre and to catch a glimpse of the famed Hollywood sign up close. Celebrity impersonators and crowds give these areas the feeling of an amusement park while many clubs and hotels fill up around the weekends for late-night partying - the Hollywood club scene is a haven for thumping music and table-side bottle service. But parties aren’t the only way to enjoy this area, many visitors come to the neighborhood to sit back with a picnic to watch a performance at the Hollywood Bowl and those looking to stay fit trek along nature trails in the Hollywood hills and in Griffith Park.
