Disappointed and not value for money. Only visited one sound stage (the Doctors); spent most of the tour looking at the recreation of New York streets (about 40 minutes of the 2 hour tour) and the grounds. I wouldn't recommend it and (obviously) would not do it again.

Went here today as I have always wanted to do a tour like this in Hollywood. The $55 bucks may seem like a lot but it was not for what you get to see on the tour.

Paramount Studios is the only movie studio that can claim it is still based in Hollywood. It is steeped in the history of movie-making and the tour is a fascinating look into the workings of a movie studio. This 2-hour tour covers the entire 65-acre lot and we made several stops along the way. Highly recommended for movie buffs!

My husband, daughter and I went on the VIP tour of the Paramount studios. My daughter could not find a babysitter for her 2 1/2 year old daughter, but the studio was very gracious and allowed us to bring her. Really NOT a tour for a toddler. Our tour guide was sweet and a real movie buff. We drove around... More

I am very sad to have to write this negative review. I was truly excited about the visit, I am a movie fan, classics and new movies and I expected to actually see something but the visit was mostly a walk through a bunch of concrete walls. Every time we were passing a stage the guide would delight us with... More

A while back in July my husband and I got a tour at paramount studios. The tour was $55 which I will say isn't too bad a price for what you get, but be sure to bring water and sunscreen. IT IS HOT!!!!! We went to universal and Warner brothers as well as paramount during our visit to Los Angeles,... More

We really enjoyed our 2 hour tour of the studio. Our tour guide took us around in a small cart with another couple. We learned much trivia about the history of the studio, behind the scenes tales, and how certain scenes in movies were made.

The tour had the right mix of history and what is happening today. The tour guide Jed did a fantastic job.

I recently joined some friends for the Paramount Studios, Studio Tour. It was fantastic. It was the second time I have been on this tour within the last 5 years. They have added some enhancements, which I enjoyed. You now start the tour in a special room with lots of photos, stories, costumes on display and a short video while... More

We booked the VIP tour because we are interested in the film industry and its history. The tour is indeed very informative and our guide is very knowledgeable about Hollywood history. It is also nice to have a small group so we can ask questions anytime we like. The tour took a little bit longer than 4 hours, with a... More

Staying in Hollywood

Neighborhood Profile
Hollywood
Hollywood undoubtedly conjures up images of movie stars and high-end lifestyles, and to this day, tourists flock here from around the world to see the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame, Chinese Theatre and to catch a glimpse of the famed Hollywood sign up close. Celebrity impersonators and crowds give these areas the feeling of an amusement park while many clubs and hotels fill up around the weekends for late-night partying - the Hollywood club scene is a haven for thumping music and table-side bottle service. But parties aren’t the only way to enjoy this area, many visitors come to the neighborhood to sit back with a picnic to watch a performance at the Hollywood Bowl and those looking to stay fit trek along nature trails in the Hollywood hills and in Griffith Park.
