I'll admit I'm biased because all my life I have wanted to go here. After reading the reviews, I decided not to take the tour, but to go and watch a movie instead. The theatre was everything I hoped it would be - opulent, grand, and everything had the Asian touch! I can't wait to go back again! more

While we thoroughly enjoyed seeing the hand prints and the outside of the theater, the VIP tour was a bust. They advertise it as a 30 minute tour and it cost us around $40 for a family of 4. In the end, we were only able to see the lobby (wall painting, carpet and a good luck doll). From there... more

I have caught a couple movies at Graumans Chinese, first was Live free or Die Hard in 07 and last year the X-files movie. Just seems like one of those things you have to do when in La and Hollywood area. Also if you have the time take the tour more

The Grauman's Chinese theater is overall "interesting". Not great, a bit touristy, but I don't think you can go to LA or Hollywood without seeing it. While I was there, a movie premiere was going on, so at times it was inaccessible, but it opened up later in the week. It was interesting to see what goes into a premiere... more

Almost anyone visiting Los Angeles will go to see Hollywood and its environs. That's where the movies are made and almost everything surrounding you is an attempt to publicise the place or the people living there. The building housing the Kodak Theatre where the Oscar ceremonies are held also has three walkways joining the neighbouring building and from this vantage... more

Not what I expected at all. TOO many people. Hard to get people to move so u could take pictures of certain footprints. Lots of guys handing out "Free" tours and tickets to shows but be aware that most of them are not "free". more

Grauman's Theatre was a big disappointment to us having travelled a great deal and seeing many high quality things. As a first, it is striking but compared to modern facilities it is average at best. Some of the celebrity lounges were ok but nothing exceptional as I anticipated they would be. Tour guide was barely satisfactory and seemed eager to... more

I had some expectations about the theater because I heared so much about it. The theater looks great and majestic from the outside but the whole place was so overcrowded with tourists (pretty ironic considering I was one myself). The cement footprints and hands outside were ok, the people dressed like actors and characters from movies were fun to watch.... more

I recommend the walking tour of the Chinese Theatre. Its quite informative and worth it. Really lovely inside however while we were there they were playing a movie and we couldnt go right in and look or take pictures,, abit annoying so make sure no film is showing..... It was fun seeing the hands and feet of famous stars and... more

This is a national treasure. This is one of the most recognisable theaters in the world. Of course the most famous part of this theater is the stars hand and footprints in the courtyard. We took many pictures of these. There is a concession stand and a gift shop in the courtyard. Beware there are also plenty of people dressed... more
