Must see to say you went. It was fun to place your feet in the star of your choice's footprints, Quite crowded. Stay on your guard. Lots of locals trying to make a buck. Parking is tough. Once you have seen it, been there, done that.
I liked seeing the handprints and footprints of the stars here. It is good for a half an hour or so. But the surrounding area is dirty and crowded. Also lots of crime here. You will probably see some amusing costumes from street performers and characters here. Take the subway and save on parking. It stops right there.
Finally back after whirlwind tour that began in LA and of course even though it's touristy, if you have time you might as well do former 'Chinese" Theater. Thankfully, we hired a tour co (thanks to Mike at Hollywood elite tours!) and they has us in and out quick and on to more historical attractions. There is some neat stuff...

Star walk of fame an the cement prints of stars. A little crowded but a must see. Also the Hollywood sign is visible from near the Dolby Theater. Overall, it was fun to take pictures and videos.
All the different hand prints, foot prints and signatures. You are standing where all the stars have stood before you.
Cool piece of Hollywood history. Paid for the tour. Was very informative. Parking is good at Hollywood & Highlands.
Great to see all the hand/foot prints of movie stars, as well as the walk of fame stars. The area is quite crowded and there are several people dressed up as various film characters who will only allow you to photograph them IF you pay them. Needless to say, they did not get any money from us. Stay far away...

My husband & I went there on a weekdayy, yet it was still very crowded.. alot of those tour companies haggling people to go for their tours. Actually, you can do alot for free with walking. So make sure u put on a good pair of shoes!
This place was CROWDED! You couldn't take pictures without someone stepping into your shot. Then there were about 20 hustlers around trying to get you to take a picture with Batman or buy their CD. It was crazy. I did not go into the theater, so it might be worth it to go in and get out of the crowd.
