We took the LA tour. Lenny our driver was so funny. He took us on places not scheduled. Van had AC. My daughter got Ill and he guided us to a place in Santa Monica were we could buy meds. Wish we had a better view of the Hollywood sign. Bus always on time. . We saw several places where... More

We arrived 15 minutes early and waited 45 minutes for them to get started. After the first stop, they were late and made us wait because they were over booked. They left us on a Hollywood Blvd which is not the safest place to be. after an hour, we took a cab back to our car.

We liked the tour more for the fact that they knew their way around Hollywood and Beverly Hills. But we didn't know whether the houses belonged to the celebrities they named and after 1 hour we were tired of seeing houses. In addition, the car has no cover, so around noon we were frying. Finally, it is not a cheap... More

The tour was long but exciting. Viewing most of the Hollywood area in a period of 2 hours was a lot to digest, but having an entertaining tour guide made it memorable. Andrew was funny, charming and thoughtful. Even though we didn't get to see much exterior of the house due to greenery and brush shrouding the gates restricting photo... More

Our family took the Hollywood Movie Star Homes Tour. We boarded a small open-air bus that accommodated only about a dozen people. This made the tour more personal. Our driver/tour guide, Peter, made the experience informative about the stars, as well as very entertaining. I liked the way that you listened to his narration through headphones, rather than him blaring... More

Family came up from Oceanside looking to have some fun in hollywood, ended up spending almost 200.00 bucks for the four of us on a movie star tour with starline tours, to say the least my wife and I were very skeptical, but my teens were very excited. We met are tour guide. Andrew who passed out headphones so we... More

We went on the stars homes tour with the Madame Tussaud's. We went into this tour not expecting to see any stars and since we didn't we were disappointed. I even figured I wasn't really going to see actual house but just little snippets. And this is what we did actually see. I think it's important to set realistic expectations... More

We booked the Grand City Tour of LA for Friday, July 24th. I was traveling with my sister and my mom and this was a family trip and a gift for them. We were not disappointed. We were picked up at our hotel (right on time!) and then taken to Santa Monica for the purchase of tickets at the main... More

Took tour of stars' homes and Warner Brothers Studio - not quite as was advertised in that there was no stop at Rodeo Drive. Also, each tour was 2 hours even though WB Studio was described as a 4-hour tour. Overall, was a good day but just wasn't what was advertised. Also, staff could be more organized. They gave the... We were only in LA for two whole days, spending one whole day at Disneyland. We thought the second day might be worth doing with the hop-on-hop-bus day trip. Unfortunately, the timing was bad. Took the Line from Hollywood to Beverly Hills, and took the Line to Santa Monica. Didn't realize the whole trip would take so long, but the... More

Staying in Hollywood

Neighborhood Profile
Hollywood
Hollywood undoubtedly conjures up images of movie stars and high-end lifestyles, and to this day, tourists flock here from around the world to see the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame, Chinese Theatre and to catch a glimpse of the famed Hollywood sign up close. Celebrity impersonators and crowds give these areas the feeling of an amusement park while many clubs and hotels fill up around the weekends for late-night partying - the Hollywood club scene is a haven for thumping music and table-side bottle service. But parties aren’t the only way to enjoy this area, many visitors come to the neighborhood to sit back with a picnic to watch a performance at the Hollywood Bowl and those looking to stay fit trek along nature trails in the Hollywood hills and in Griffith Park.
