Despite booking in advance we didn't get priority boarding onto the bus which was 20 minutes late & we were left in blistering heat! Commentary was good along the route. However, one of the main reasons choosing the "red route" was to see the Hollywood sign & surrounding area. The tour didn't go anywhere near & the "photo opportunities" we're... More

We always take these get on get off tours when we visit a new city weather for business of just vacation. The tour has several routes and we took the Hollywood and Downtown ones. We got off at Farmers Market and caught a later bus back. Earphones are provided and you pick your language. I wish I had had more... More

Booked through my hotel and paid a deposit. I was quoted a price and put the money aside for my tour. The bus was ten minutes late picking us up from the hotel. We were driven to what looked like a ran down hotel where the booths were in the lobby and were charged nearly sixty dollars more than quoted... More

Visited LA this past week and took 2 tours, 1 being the Bus Tour of the Star's Homes. I don't know how many of you know this but Andrew Williams was a phenomenal tour guide providing not only history of the city and entertainment but added his own personal experience growing up in Hollywood. Good luck to Andrew in his... More

Whilst recently in LA , my wife and I stayed in Hollywood and had a day with Starline tours who are based right in front of the Chinese Theatre on Hollywood Boulevard. There are MANY different options to choose from but as we only had a short time in Hollywood we decided on the all encompassing 'Grand City Tour of... More

It came with a free pass to madam tussauds which we were to visit Anyway so made it worth the money. We had Ross, and he was awesome. He made jokes and was very informative. I was a little disappointed we didnt see that many houses. You have headphones which make it easier to hear. You stop a few times and once there was a bathroom. Bring water and sunblock and dress light in the summer. Also, try to book in... More

While visiting San Diego, my family decided to use Starline Tours to see all of the tourist attractions and areas located around San Diego. We were NOT disappointed! All of our drivers were extremely friendly and helpful in not only giving us historic information, but also giving personal recommendations in regards to areas that we were in. I was not... More

Staying in Hollywood

Neighborhood Profile
Hollywood
Hollywood undoubtedly conjures up images of movie stars and high-end lifestyles, and to this day, tourists flock here from around the world to see the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame, Chinese Theatre and to catch a glimpse of the famed Hollywood sign up close. Celebrity impersonators and crowds give these areas the feeling of an amusement park while many clubs and hotels fill up around the weekends for late-night partying - the Hollywood club scene is a haven for thumping music and table-side bottle service. But parties aren’t the only way to enjoy this area, many visitors come to the neighborhood to sit back with a picnic to watch a performance at the Hollywood Bowl and those looking to stay fit trek along nature trails in the Hollywood hills and in Griffith Park.
