It all started off quite well but then degenerated into a bad experience. For example: - The sound kept dropping out on my headset and I had to keep jiggling the plug on the socket for the sound to come back - There were poor interchanges between routes. We decided to change buses at the interchange near Rodeo Drive but... More

So you pay $47 a head for a guy to drive you down streets and tell you where a bunch of people used to live and to look through trees and see gates of where someone might live. We got to see the rock that contained the speaker to announce yourself to the Playboy Mansion, the gate that the ambulance... More

Hotel pick up was on time and then transfered to Starline Offices for check in. The morning part of the tour was Warner Bros Studios which was fantastic! My 16 year old son is a massive film/tv buff so this was a must do. Starline just operate the transfers to and from Warner Bros. Picked up at 1pm and taken... More

We were really disappointed in this tour, my fiancé used it 6 years ago and the recorded tour voice-over hasn't changed a bit. Having been on a lot of tours in California over the last two weeks this stands out as the worst. For $88 for two tickets lasting 24 hours we would expect a lot more, including a tour... More

Having been to LA and not liking it 2 years ago, we found ourselves with a full day to spare prior to flying home. We were with friends, so organised a Grand City Tour as it would show them some highlights and we thought they would be satisfied with this option. While some of the highlights were pretty cool, the... More

We bought a 2 day hop-on-hop-off pass. The first bus we got on our driver lost our voucher, then refused to print our ticket because he didn't have the voucher details. We had to catch a bus back to head office, where they photo copied the relevant page from our itinerary and said the next driver would accept that. The... More

My wife and I bought a 48 hour pass from a Starline representative at Madam Tussaud's on Hollywood Boulevard for the Starline Hop on hop off buses in Hollywood. The first day was fine we took the red line and yellow line to Santa Monica. This was okay although most of the tour was slow crawl through LA traffic to... More

The hop on hop off bus by starline is definitely the best way of getting around hollywood beverley hills and Los Angeles to see a snap shot of the cities. You can get on and off as many times as you want and the 2 and 3 day tickets give you plenty of scope to go back to places. Much... More

Staying in Hollywood

Neighborhood Profile
Hollywood undoubtedly conjures up images of movie stars and high-end lifestyles, and to this day, tourists flock here from around the world to see the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame, Chinese Theatre and to catch a glimpse of the famed Hollywood sign up close. Celebrity impersonators and crowds give these areas the feeling of an amusement park while many clubs and hotels fill up around the weekends for late-night partying - the Hollywood club scene is a haven for thumping music and table-side bottle service. But parties aren’t the only way to enjoy this area, many visitors come to the neighborhood to sit back with a picnic to watch a performance at the Hollywood Bowl and those looking to stay fit trek along nature trails in the Hollywood hills and in Griffith Park.
