We spent the afternoon on the Harbor Breeze Whale watching excursion and had a great time! They had knowledgable guides from the long beach aquarium that made the trip a great learning experience about the marine life in Southern California. We didn't see any whales on our trip but we did see many different types of dolphins and sea lions.... More

We had a great day on the sea; our first impressions were as follows 1) expensive, 2) "darn it, we didn't get to sit outside..." as the trip went on we discovered that it was good to be inside, as the sea was quite rough, so the people on deck got soaked, and it was quite cold due to the... More

Hello and thank you for your review. We are glad you were able to see Whales, Dolphins, and Sea Lions. We are also sorry that the weather may not have been the best, we run whale watching year-round and for the majority of the year have great weather and seas. A few suggestions; 1: Take Dramamine or any type of... More

We had a great day whale watching. The boat is set up well so that everyone has a good view. It was informative and also exciting when the whales were spotted. We saw Dolphins, 4 x blue whales and 1x Minke whale. Our tip would be to check the website as there are often 2 for 1 or some sort... More

Will We be lucky enough to see the biggest earth dweller of all times? As an appetizer we had a pod of dolphins playing next to boat for 5 minutes before we headed to search for the Giants. Then the main course .... Hail blue whales !!! We sailed close by them 6 times during the 3 hour sail trip.... More

Hello, Thank you for your review. We are very glad that you saw Dolphins, Blue Whales, and a Fin Whale. Blue Whale season normally lasts until about October so there's plenty of time to come see these amazing animals again More

Tickets from Viator or Groupon are half the price. Take a jacket and grab a seat inside until you get to the whales. This is not a good trip for babies or small kids; four of them threw up from the rough ride. Lots of vomit on the seats. You will see whales, far, far, far away.

Thank you for your review. We run hundreds of Whale Watching trips a year and for the most part we have wonderful seas and weather conditions. We also have children and babies all the time on our trips and have experienced that they do handle the trips well. A few suggestions; 1: Take Dramamine or any type of motion sickness... More

Had a great experience on the whale watching tour July 4th weekend. We saw seals, pods of dolphins playing in the wake, 2 whales and patches the dolphin. Great for all ages! I would recommend getting there 1/2 hour early to get a good seat. Front of the boat was perfect.

THE BASICS: We wanted to see whales and we saw whales, blue whales. We came on a weekday. You park at the Aquarium parking structure and after buying your tickets (get your parking validated to get a discount rate), you stand in line at the dock to get the best seat. The line started forming about a half an hour... More

I researched activities for our trip to LA months ago, and knew we wanted to give whale watching a go. I decided on Harbor Breeze as it was only 50 minutes away from LA where we were staying, and I'm so glad I did. My partner and I arrived at Long Beach (which was nice) and immediately located the dock,... More

I enjoyed the Aquarium of the Pacific, but the Harbor Breeze Whale Watching tour was the highlight of my visit to Long Beach. The two attractions are not listed together in the Tripadvisor database (this one falls under "watersports" for some reason). I researched this attraction and found a two-for-one coupon, which my wife and I used for this tour.... More

The crew and captain know their waters and will find whatever whales there are, and about a bijion dolphins. The scenery is fantastic. This is a good trip for all, but be sure to take seasick pills along for the kids who aren't used to wave motion. Or take plastic bags, because they WILL throw up. Kids get excited, and... More
