I was in a russian sub! How cool is that to tell your friends! Spend the $10 and make it a must see if you are in Long Beach. It is close quarters down there, so go slow and be careful. You can take pictures, and when you walk room to room you have to climb through this circular hole... more

My girlfriend and I were celebrating out 2 year anniversary in Long Beach, staying at the Coast Hotel (very nice) when - after walking to hard-to-miss Queen Mary, I saw The Scorpion Sub sitting right next to it. I knew it was something I had to explore. How often do you really get to tour a recently (11 years ago)... more

The Scorpion Submarine was a pleasant surprise on a recent pilgrimage to see the Queen Mary. I honestly had no idea that they had a submarine there, let alone Soviet cold war era boat. The tour had its ups and downs. This is not an extremely well thought-out exhibit ripe with lots of pictures and charts and modern explainations but... more
