Really enjoyed going back in time to hippie days visiting this beautiful beach for the day. Camping didn't look all that great and the windy long road would not be fun in our motorhome. But what was fun was arriving and finding this very busy little store where you could buy a few groceries and other camping things and also... More

Been going here for over 30 years, and it is still one of the most beautiful beaches on the central coast. Sunset Magazine wrote several articles praising the place, and now everyone knows! Hard to find a campsite now! Always expect wind, so be prepared whenever you arrive. Bathrooms need to be updated, as they haven't changed in over 30... More

My family usually does mountain camping but a friend invited us, so.... We stayed on site 70 and like any beach camp spot, you are right up against your neighbors, but this site had some shrubbery separation. Being the second row from the beach the wind was not bad at all. Bathrooms kept clean and trash was emptied regularly. WiFi... More

Jalama Beach is usually not too packed and the weather is typically nice out there. It's a short drive from Lompoc which is nice when Surf Beach isn't so accommodating for beach-goers. Also, Jalama Cafe has great burgers.

Jalama Beach is a beautiful rugged beach situated an hours drive north of Santa Barbara. It has high cliffs and beautiful beaches with beautiful views in all directions. It is distinct from many of the other beaches in the area in the rugged coastline and high winds. It is a great place for recreation and photography.

Beautiful rugged coastline, units for rental, friendly staff... Out of the way, but more and more people are finding their way there.

de camped there on Nov. 10, 2013. the winding road leading to the camp site itself was enjoyable. the camp site was nicely set up, the store was quite busy. we tried the hamburger that others raved about, not that impressed. the water was cold but some surfers were not deterred at all. at night the wind and sound of... Jalama Beach is a gem few people know about due to it's size and long drive. The beach is small, as are the campsights but the beach is beautiful. Not to miss the BEST hamburgers in the county at the park store. There are tar balls so beware as they can get in your feet or on your shoes.

A decent beach, small campsites. Lots of wind. Found a lot of scary bizarre looking spiders, small versions of those things in the Stephen King move called THE MIST.
