We visited the Michael David Winery & tasting room during a 3-day visit to Lodi. It’s on the southwest side of Lodi right on California Route 12. In addition to the winery and tasting room, they have flower and vegetable fields with a small market and flower shop plus a bakery and cafe in association with their tasting room. The... More

Visited during the week and our tasting experience can be best described as "mechanical." We enjoy learning a bit about the wines, winemaker, etc...but not much info provided here. Not rude or curt, simply mechanical. Enjoyed the Michael David Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc.

We come out here every Halloween to get our pumpkins and walk through the field of festive "scarecrows" and tunnels of hay. We eat pumpkin ice-cream and get to listen to music. There is wine tasting and beautiful country all around. This has been a tradition in our family for decades! This time of year, July, there is so much... More

This is great family winery. Home to 7 Deadly Zins, Earthquake Zin and Cab, 6th Sense Syrah (my favorite) to name a few. They always have fun events scheduled like Reggae and Rhone. The winery has Bocci courts and areas for the kids.

Nice tasting room. Lots of gift items available. Very nice wines; very reasonable. They also do events. Easy location on Hwy 12. We like to stop by and try the new wines---and some old familiar ones...!

We drove down to Michael David winery to celebrate Father's Day. They brought in a terrific band that played music from the 80s. The food and dishes with the fruits and vegetables are especially good. The place is very kid friendly with a ton of room for them to run around and play. We will come back here for sure!

We went here for breakfast before tasting, and the cafe food was delicious with good service. Mostly the typical items you'd expect for breakfast, but everything was very fresh and tasty. They offer one of the broadest selections of wine at any Lodi winery, including Rhone and Bordeaux varietals, and, of course, Zinfandel. They offer wines at a number of... More

Yes they make wine that is sold at grocery stores, so this, to me, means they are not pretentious (and are trying to make a living) , which is sadly rare nowadays in wine country. Its far from the negative connotaions of "commercial wineries." They make great wine and they sell it at prices that everyone can afford to enjoy.... More

This is the home of a favorite inexpensive Zin, Seven Deadly Zins. So we wanted to try the tasting experience. The hostess was informative but the cashier was all but rude. It was if she didn't want to be there. The best part of the tasting was a Club member who happened by to pick up wine. She gave us... More

Michael David Vineyards is a family run business. They have many different wines, "Earthquake" being my favorite. The tasting area is very nice and the food served is very good as well. They even have fruits, vegetables and flowers that are sold, along with Grampa's jams. One of our favorite stops when in Lodi
