Good wine, not big for "tasting room" experience.

Stopped by, and the rounds are pretty. We walked in and it was a cafe type restaurant. To the right was the tasting area. Wines are good, many you will see in stores and such... read more

Stopped by, and the rounds are pretty. We walked in and it was a cafe type restaurant. To the right was the tasting area. Wines are good, many you will see in stores and such. I think the wines were good. The "wine tasting" experience wasn't highlighted very well as the smell of food and clinking of plates and such... More

My and my husband where on a road trip in CA and went to Lodi because we both love Zinfandel, and have had a lot of wines from Lodi that we enjoyed a lot. We started with lunch at Michael David Winery, they only had tacos on the menu, and the tacos were great, so was the Mexican soup. But... More

I came on a Friday morning (not prime time tasting) but I found the staff very friendly, knowledgable and with a good sense of humor. They took time to explain the differences between their Zinfandels which I found delightful.

Not only is their wine wonderful, but the cafe serves excellent food accompanied by friendly service. I recently had the lamb burger special and it was great. Excellent flavor and cooked perfectly. Try their wine, join the wine club and stay for lunch...you will enjoy it.

The grounds, store, and restaurant are beautiful. There are all sorts of treats around that are hard to resist. The wine is excellent. The food is equally good.

My husband and I have been Wine Club Members at Michael David Winery for more years than I can remember. My parents and our daughter and son-in-law are Members too! All of their wines are exceptional. We have never had one that we didn't like. Of course we have our favorites, but in our experience, it is very unusual for... More

Conveniently located just off Hwy.I-5 on Hwy. 12--so, after picking up a family member from the Sacramento airport, we decided to make a brief stop before having lunch in the quaint little town of Lodi before heading home. We enjoyed a tasting of their many wines, all which were pleasant. There was fresh produce, baked pies and lunch also available... More

We visited the Michael David Winery & tasting room during a 3-day visit to Lodi. It’s on the southwest side of Lodi right on California Route 12. In addition to the winery and tasting room, they have flower and vegetable fields with a small market and flower shop plus a bakery and cafe in association with their tasting room. The... More

Visited during the week and our tasting experience can be best described as "mechanical." We enjoy learning a bit about the wines, winemaker, etc...but not much info provided here. Not rude or curt, simply mechanical. Enjoyed the Michael David Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc.

We come out here every Halloween to get our pumpkins and walk through the field of festive "scarecrows" and tunnels of hay. We eat pumpkin ice-cream and get to listen to music. There is wine tasting and beautiful country all around. This has been a tradition in our family for decades! This time of year, July, there is so much... More
