Great course to play

Well groomed, beautiful, challenging course. In the foothills, placed among vineyards, and at times, somewhat windy.

We made reservations the same day and the restaurant was graciously able to accommodate our large party on a short notice. Service was amazing and food was pretty good. I did think that it was strange that they had separate menus for appetizers and wine and they didn't give you those menus when you were seated, you have to ask... More

For $70 and in the condition the course was in was not worth it. However the replay rate was very reasonable. We wanted to play all 27 holes and we did. Zinfandel Nine was the best of all three. I understand we are in drought conditions and I get that NCGA members pay only $57 for green fees but perhaps... More

I would have given this 5 stars, but my accuracy leaves a lot to be desired, so for good target golfers make it a 5. For the rest of us, carry lots of balls and rosary beads. Beautiful natural setting, so no trees. Also lots of restored wild lands that add to the fun. The greens, tees and fairways are... More

This review is for the golf course. My husband and I invited our parents and in-laws for brunch and a round of golf to celebrate Father's Day. We heard great things and were excited to to experience this property for the first time. After having a fantastic time at brunch, we checked in for our 2:40 reservation for tea time.... More

Played on Tuesday, 26 May, 11 am, hi 60's, breezy between 5 and 15 mph winds, white tees. Tee boxes, fairways, greens and bunkers all in good condition with bunkers filled with new, fluffy sand. One of our players hit into a bunker and the ball buried into a slope and was difficult to find even though we all saw... More

Can't really ask for more. Beautiful layout, fun, challenging, and the staff are friendly. Played Tuesday and got the round in at 4 1/2 hours. Didn't try any of the food on site but from the looks of things the service would be excellent. The only thing I warn visitors is that it gets very windy. Nothing the course can... More

So glad we chose to have lunch at this course on a perfect sunny day in December. It was a perfect break between winery visits. Great salads and sandwiches!!! Maybe will go back and play golf when weather is warmer

I am an NCGA member and this is my home course. But I have mixed feelings about the staff here. Good news first...The course is usually in perfect condition….this summer when most courses suffered from too little or too much water, Poppy's fairways and greens were unbeatable. But I played there today (12/21/14) and after the rains, the course is... More

Fast greens, lots of fairway hills. Beautiful views, nice carts and marshals who do not let anyone linger!
