Although it's a typical fairgrounds, there are a few things you must keep in mind if visiting. This is the middle of the Mojave desert, so going to a fair in late August, expect temps over 100 degrees, and little shade. There are two or three air conditioned buildings, but otherwise, it's HOT! We prefer to wait until dark to... More

We petted the goats, sheep, beef, and hogs of course. Had good faire fare of course and shopped and met with friends from around the Valley.... More

The Fair this year was smaller than last year. Not as many vendors! Sorry to see the biggest bash in the area decline. Not as many great concert choices as previous years. Still had fun. The concerts were great. I fear that each year they will get smaller. I contacted one of my favorite vendors and they said it just... More

Got into the fair for free and also had free parking on the day of the concert. Seating on the floor was not so good. Since all chairs are on the same level, and as soon as the concert starts everyone stood up so my hubby and I had to leave our seats and stand at the side in order... More

What a great evening we had at Antelope Valley Fairgrounds! The weather was a balmy 90 degrees with 0 humidity and the bull riders were fantastic! So says a former Texan.
