Fun at Heritage Park

Fun place to celebrate Christmas cheer. I went to a wedding there. It was different and fun. I also painted a lovely watercolor painting.

This park is the best kept secret in south Orange County. We had a city docent give us a personal tour of the one room school house and original church right off Serrano and Trabucco Road in Lake Forest . The cost. FREE.

Our son was recently married in the 1800s church on the property. The reception was held "concert in the park" style near another historic building. Beautiful and unique location for a smaller size wedding.

A group of friends and I visited the Heritage Hill Historic Park on a beautiful Southern California Winter Day. The park is well maintained and the buildings are historically representative. We took a tour guided by one of the docents. It was very informative and conducted at a relaxed pace. Lots of facts about the ancestral family and Orange County... More

I took my 8 year old on a docent tour here this past summer. It was very interesting for us to see how people lived when they first arrived to the area. The docent was very informative. We got to see a school house, church, house and much more. We really loved our visit and I loved that it snuck... More

We went for the Christmas celebration but learned so much about the history of the area. This group of historical buildings are very interesting and beautiful. Great for family outings.

We have visited Heritage Hill Historic Park on numerous occasions and always find it interesting. We always go when the Docent will take a group out, and the information is voluminous. The historic buildings are well maintained and it is especially nice to walk around the park on a sunny day

This park, behind the Ralphs, and above the Serrano Creek Ranch Equestrian Center, houses several historic El Toro properties form early in the 20th century, and gives a great feel for what ranch life was once like in Orange County.

You can visit this small park/historic site anytime but I recommended going Wednesday-Sunday at 11 or 2.At those times they have a guide that gives a tour. Not only do you get lots of interesting historical information; you also get better access to the buildings. Without a guide there are only certain things can look at the rest is locked.
