I had the good fortune to attend the opening of The Year of Magical Thinking at the Laguna Play House. A one person play, directed by Jenny Sullivan runs through November 2nd, 2014. The play comes with a very strong narrative by the novelist Joan Didion, of memories, events, emotional waverings (should she and her daughter leave her husband or... More

Saw a great show - Troubies: A Midsummer Saturday Night’s Fever Dream this weekend at the Laguna Playhouse. This is nice intimate theater where the performers can easily come into the audience and solicit audience participation as well as pulling others on to the stage to be a part of the show. Every seat is good seat for viewing and... More

Excellent 90 minute show with the best of Motown music. Truly not a bad seat in the house. Loved the show but venue was very uncomfortable temperature wise as A/C not on or working.

Had the opportunity to see Buddy Holly Story last night and it was one of the most fun and energetic performances I have ever seen. The performers are not just actors but top notch musicians and singers. The acoustics in this intimate theater are outstanding and the performance had the theater rock n' rolling. Highly recommend you see this Playhouse... More

We happened to get tickets for opening night of the Buddy Holly story. The Rock and Roll draws you in to the story, but the quality of the acting and production really made it memorable.

When going to the Pageant of the Masters, we always try to see the show next door at the lovely Laguna Playhouse. We've gone for several years. The theater is casual but lovely and the performances always delight.

We go to theater as much as possible. Small theater is the best because it's more personal. You get to meet the actors after the show, and there isn't a bad seat in the house. Laguna Playhouse always puts on A+ performances. Fun for the whole family!

The acting is top-notch, but the plays seem dated. I attended 3. They didn't get better. The exception was The Pianist of Willesden Lane with Mona Golabek, which was amazing.
